Cleanup crews trying to mitigate Japan's never-ending radiation crisis at Fukushima ran into more problems recently after sensors monitoring a drainage gutter detected a huge spike in radiation levels from wastewater pouring into the Pacific Ocean. The Tokyo Electric Power Company says radiation levels were up to 70 times, or 7,000 percent, higher than normal, prompting an immediate shutdown of the drainage instrument. The first readings came around 10 a.m. local time on February 22, setting off alarms not once but twice as radiation levels spiked to extremely high levels.   |

Back in the good old days when the global threat was communism, the warmongers sought to justify endless war with the domino theory which proposed that if Vietnam fell to the commies, so would the other southeast Asian nations - like a row of dominoes falling over. Since that time the same idea has been applied to numerous other areas of conflict. I've always enjoyed watching those elaborate and intricate demonstrations involving hundreds of falling dominoes. Right now as you read this, you know yourself to be living on a planet called Earth in a physical incarnation that you share with about 7 billion other people and over 8 billion other living species. In this solar system that we are in, we think of ourselves as being one race of human beings, sharing one planet and one reality. But do we really?
