A chilling new report prepared for President Putin by the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) on top-secret NSA intelligence documents obtained by the Federal Security Services (FSB) from heroic whistleblower Edward Snowden reveals that US Federal officials in the area of the United States designated as FEMA Region III [Washington D.C., Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia] are “quietly preparing” for what these documents state is an “imminent catastrophic threat” related to a previously unknown fault zone many scientific experts fear could see this area being destroyed by volcanic, earthquake and massive tsunamis as early as this coming October.
According to this EMERCOM report, US officials became alarmed when on 23 August 2011 a massive 5.8 magnitude earthquake centered in Virginia shook the entire US East Coast and was described as the largest quake of its kind to strike east of the Mississippi River in all of recorded American history.

A report prepared by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) on the 23 August 2011 Virginia earthquake was partially released this past November (2012), EMERCOM says, with a warning that the Eastern coastal regions of the United States were, indeed, facing a threat of major tsunamis, but the documents provided by Snowden reveal a much grimmer picture of what could possibly be about to occur.
The much expanded, and designated top-secret, USGS report contained in Snowden’s documents, EMERCOM states, shows that the 23 August 2011 Virginia earthquake shattered a previously unknown fault zone extending from Richmond Virginia outwards into the Atlantic Ocean region and stretching upwards into the Chesapeake Bay area which is the largest estuary in the United States.
Even worse, this EMERCOM says about this top-secret USGS report, is that American scientists are now blaming the devastation occurring in the Chesapeake Bay (which has seen 200,000 acres of oyster reefs reduced to about 36,000 in the past nearly 15 years) on “explosive volcanic out gassing” rapidly growing in this undersea area; a situation when combined with the still ongoing catastrophe in the Gulf of Mexico caused the United States this past week to declare its first “fishery disaster” in modern times.
This EMERCOM report further states that USGS scientists are, likewise, blaming the explosion of dolphin deaths this year in US eastern coastal regions on this volcanic out-gassing too, and which according to the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), in Virginia alone, there were 45 dolphin deaths in July, compared to a historic average of only seven for July.

Most concerning to USGS scientists in their top-secret report, EMERCOM experts say, is the new evidence revealed this past June (2013) by the Journal Science proving the reality of what have been called “earthquake booms” which have long been associated with seismic activity, and as we can, in part, read from their article titled “Boom! Super Seismo-Sonic Earthquakes Are Real”:
“The inner workings of bizarre and potentially dangerous earthquakes that break the seismic sound barrier have now for the first time been confirmed in laboratory experiments with real rocks, report scientists in today’s issue of the journal Science.”
Most ominous in the USGS’s concerns about “earthquake booms,” this EMERCOM report says, are the increasing number of them being heard in the Richmond, Virginia area these past few months, which was near the epicenter of the 23 August 2011 earthquake and may be heralding a new series of seismic events are about to occur, American scientists fear.
As to the preparations being made by the Obama regime should the worst fears of the USGS be realized, this EMERCOM report says, can be gleaned from a recent email sent out by former South Dakota Senator Sheldon R. Songstad to his friends and family that was leaked to the American public and which details steps now being taken for FEMA Region III:
The preparations listed include;
Nine-week training course for UN Peacekeepers in CONUS to learn Urban Warfare, English, and US weapons systems beginning 4th week of July for 386,000 troops to be completed by October 1st;
$11 million in antibiotics to be delivered to FEMA region III by October 1st ordered by CDC;
FEMA purchase orders for over $14.2 million for MREs and heater meals to be delivered to Region III by October 1st;
FEMA purchase orders for 22 million pouches of emergency water to be delivered to region III by October 1st;
FEMA purchase orders for $13.6 million for MREs and heater meals to be delivered to Austin by October 1st;
2800 MRAPs must be delivered to DHS by October 1st
To if the American public living in this now feared FEMA Region III area will be warned by the Obama regime of the dangers they are facing it remains highly unlikely, especially when viewed in the light of Australia’s 60 Minutes News Programme this past week [watch video HERE] detailing how the these people were lied to and deceived by their own government over the massive poisoning of the Gulf of Mexico by BP after the 2010 Deep Water Horizon Disaster.

German finance minister, Wolfgang Schäuble, has unexpectedly said that Greece will need more financial help, admitting for the first time that $328 billion pledged so far won’t be enough to save Greece from bankruptcy.
Schäuble’s surprise admission of this deeply unpopular prospect comes at a sensitive time for his party. Germany will hold a general election on September 22.
“There will have to be another program in Greece,” Mr. Schäuble told an election campaign audience.
The subject of providing further financial assistance to Greece has of late been delicately avoided because the approach to Eurozone debt crisis is now one of the key differences separating chancellor Angela Merkel’s Christian Democrats from the main opposition Social Democrats.
“Schäuble really has now let the cat out of the bag,” the Financial Times (FT) quotes Carsten Schneider, SPD budget spokesman. “He previously left open the question of whether Greece needed another bailout.”
Meanwhile, German voters fear that any further bailouts and debt write-offs would translate into higher taxes and bite deeper into their pockets.
Germany has so far been the biggest contributor to the rescue aid packages for Greece.
Just hours before Mr Schaeuble spoke, his boss Angela Merkel was quoted in the media dismissing questions about further aid for Greece, saying there was no point in discussing the matter until its second package expires at the end of next year, the Telegraph reports. However, Schäuble is unanimous with many who believe Greece will have to be given new funding.
Greek finance ministry officials say that any further help for Greece would be much smaller than the previous aid and will aim to cover its funding shortfall in 2014-2016, according to Reuters.
The International Monetary Fund has put Greece’s uncovered funding needs for 2014-2015 at 10.9 billion euros. However, such estimates are revised frequently and are highly sensitive to budget and economic growth projections, the agency reports.
The ‘Troika’ of Greece’s international lenders – the EU, ECB, and IMF will return to Athens this autumn to reexamine the country’s progress in tackling its debt and whether the government needs to find further savings to meet its 2015-2016 budget targets.
The former Greek MP, Eva Kaili, in an exclusive interview to RT criticized the Troika lenders for ‘experimenting in Greece’ and hopes the same mistakes aren’t repeated in other struggling economies.
Kaili believes Germany, along with the Troika of lenders, left Greece no choice in their recovery plan.
“They just tried to soak our country with these measures, without planning anything, without trying to implement the changes,” Kaili told RT. She added, “Germany is the only one that makes decisions and this power game should be reset.”

If you committed a crime in your country of residence, go to London. London does not extradite. The British justice system is structured in such a way that offenders from any country except the United States can be granted asylum. This means not only shelter, but also the ability to live quietly, without looking back at the police. It is no accident that many oligarchs have a home in London.
The UK Home Office in 2012 identified a hundred people suspected of committing war crimes. These people have previously submitted applications to the immigration service of the country with a request for permanent residence. Most of them have been living in the UK for many years. These are people from Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Rwanda, Sri Lanka and Serbia.
According to the statements made by the British Ministry of the Interior, they are doing everything possible to prevent Britain from becoming a safe haven for war criminals. In fact, the situation is somewhat different. Legal courts tend to block the deportation of such criminals, claiming that they may face torture or death in their home country. Human rights organizations, in turn, insist that such persons should be criminally prosecuted in British courts.
Since the beginning of last year, the British police have studied approximately 800 cases of defendants suspected of war crimes and crimes against humanity. Negative recommendations were given to 99 people who have applied for political asylum or a residence permit in the UK. Another 16 criminals requested a visa to enter Britain. Of the 99 suspects identified only three were deported. 20 of them have not been granted asylum, and 46 – citizenship. The fate of the others is unknown.
Over the period from 2005 to 2012 the British Ministry of the Interior has determined that over 700 war criminals reside in the country. According to the London police, at the moment 56 persons suspected of war crimes are under investigation. All of them are currently in the UK. Michael McCann, the chairman of the multi-party group on genocide prevention talked about the need to improve the transparency of official information about criminals residing on British soil. He argued that the unit tasked with these matters has failed, and that a large number of mistakes have been made. He added that he suspected that the Ministry of the Interior kept facts to themselves and offered to figure out what was going on to reassure the public.
In May of this year, five citizens of Rwanda were arrested in the UK. They are suspected of involvement in the genocide in 1994 when 800,000 people were killed. Interestingly enough, some of the suspects have been living in the UK for over ten years. Three suspects are in custody and two were released on bail. All of them have denied any involvement in the genocide.
In 2009 there was an unsuccessful attempt to banish these people from the country. However, the High Court ruled that there was a high likelihood that these people would not be able to stand trial in Rwanda. This case, according to human rights activists, clearly shows the problems that arise when dealing with such cases in Britain.
Kevin Laue, a legal adviser of the charitable organization Redress believes that the police needs to be provided with additional resources related to the investigation of such crimes, which requires political will and allocation of the required resources.
A survivor of the genocide in Rwanda said that she was afraid to even imagine meeting war criminals from Rwanda on the streets of London. These memories cause acute emotional pain. She said that these people should be sent to the country where they committed the crimes. If this is impossible, the criminals should be tried in Britain, as this would allow others to understand that punishment is still inevitable, no matter where the criminals are hiding.
One of the Rwandan criminals worked in a nursing home in Essex for several years. Many UK recruitment agencies do not conduct background checks when hiring. As a result of such negligence caretakers for elderly people could be those convicted of theft or violence. Recent checks have revealed over 220 agencies that employ unskilled and unreliable employees. One Birmingham agency employed 23 people with a criminal record, although the organization had a license and a contract with the city authorities for 800 thousand pounds.
For many criminals from different countries the United Kingdom has long been a second home. They can commit heinous crime at home, launder their money, come to England and live there peacefully. The tradition of requesting asylum is a long-standing one. Offenders only need to get into the UK, declare that they are persecuted at home for political, racial, religious or other valid reasons and ask for asylum.
Refugees in Britain receive everything they need from the government, including free housing, unemployment benefits, the right to work, and the prospect of an expedited citizenship. The only problem is the fact that they cannot return to their home country. But why would they go back to the country where they are wanted by law enforcement authorities?
In addition to common thieves and rapists, England is visited by people who committed certain machinations and earned a lot of money in their own country, but have problems with local law enforcement. They can start a new business in the UK. Everyone knows that Britain is a country with great business opportunities, particularly for people who have significant funds. They buy property in the UK and become citizens. British authorities will never extradite citizens with money. Some dishonest businessmen, but rather, swindlers, take advantage of this situation.
Such statement was made by Russian ambassador in London Yuri Fedotov in 2009. He expressed regret that people who have committed serious criminal offenses can quietly disappear in the UK. According to him, there are about 20 people in England declared wanted in Russia. He particularly mentioned emissary of the Chechen terrorists Akhmed Zakayev.
According to the Russian Federal Security Service, Zakayev was planning to organize armed units in Dagestan and Chechnya to recreate the bandit underground. In 2001 he was declared wanted on charges of organizing murder of civilians and law enforcement officials. This man is also accused of terrorism by Russian authorities. However, London, referring to the abuse of process in the pursuit of Zakayev, granted the criminal asylum.
According to Fedotov, Russia regularly sends inquiries to the competent British departments and transfers materials collected by the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office, however, the British courts do not consider them. The British say that persons granted political asylum cannot be extradited. The examples include Berezovsky accused of tax evasion, the former head of the Bank of Moscow Andrei Borodin, accused of fraud, and others. All of them were or are still hiding in the UK. Others have homes in London in order to immediately land on the backup soil in the event of criminal charges.
Criminals flee to the UK because they are sure that they will not be extradited. But this cannot continue as there will be a day when the criminals start applying in the UK their bad habits brought from home, adding to the crime situation. If the British government does not change its policy, over time they will reap the bitter fruits of their short-sighted policies.

Gen. Martin Dempsey
The top American military officer has warned about a US military attack against Syria, saying it would further commit Washington to a conflict that is not decisive militarily.
“We can destroy the Syrian air force,” Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey said in a letter to Rep. Eliot Engel (D-N.Y.) dated August 19. “But it would also escalate and potentially further commit the United States to the conflict.”
“Stated another way, it would not be militarily decisive, but it would commit us decisively to the conflict,” Dempsey was quoted as saying by the Associated Press.
The top general also said Washington’s military intervention would plunge the United States deep into another war in the Middle East.
“The use of US military force can change the military balance,” Dempsey said. “But it cannot resolve the underlying and historic ethnic, religious and tribal issues that are fueling this conflict.”
He also said the militants fighting against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad would not support US interests if they were to seize power.
“Syria today is not about choosing between two sides but rather about choosing one among many sides,” Dempsey said. “It is my belief that the side we choose must be ready to promote their interests and ours when the balance shifts in their favor. Today, they are not.”
General Dempsey described the Syrian conflict as “tragic and complex.”
“It is a deeply rooted, long-term conflict among multiple factions, and violent struggles for power will continue after Assad’s rule ends,” he wrote. “We should evaluate the effectiveness of limited military options in this context.”
The United States is reviewing all options in Syria, but it has not reached a firm decision to involve directly in the more than two-year-old conflict.
The White House announced in June that it would offer military aid to foreign-backed militants in Syria who are fighting the government there.
In July, General Dempsey said imposing a no-fly zone against Syria would cost the United States one billion dollars a month and put US aircraft at risk of being shot down.
In a letter to the chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, Dempsey said the use of such force is “no less than an act of war” and would come at a time of growing fiscal restraint on the Pentagon.
“Some options may not be feasible in time or cost without compromising our security elsewhere,” Dempsey said.

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said Monday that his administration has successfully carried out the largest gun seizure in the city’s history.
At a Monday morning press conference, Mayor Bloomberg and Police Department Commissioner Ray Kelly announced that authorities in New York have managed to indict and arrest 19 individuals believed responsible for running an illegal gun pipeline from North and South Carolina to NYC along the Interstate 95 corridor.
As the result of an undercover investigation, Bloomberg said city officials netted the largest gun bust ever to come out of New York, collecting more than 250 illegal firearms, including high capacity assault weapons, a fully automatic machine gun and guns that are commonly used in violent crimes across the city.
“There is no doubt that the seizure of these guns has saved lives,” Mayor Bloomberg said at the press conference. “New York City, I’m happy to say, is the safest big city in the nation. We’re continuing to make our city even safer.”
Commissioner Kelly said the firearm pipeline was discovered last year as the result of an unrelated narcotics investigation targeting an operation thought to be trafficking drugs out of Brooklyn. That probe led investigators to a 26-year-old aspiring rapper, Matthew Best, who recorded songs from an Ocean Hill, Brooklyn recording studio in which he boasted of “packing more guns than the Air Force.”
Once Best was brought onto the police’s radar, law enforcement linked him to 29-year-old Walter Walker of Sanford, South Carolina. Walker, according to police, purchased stolen guns cheaply in North and South Carolina, and then took a discounted bus to New York City where he sold them with the assistance of Best. In one instance, police said, Walker carried as many as 14 guns in his luggage while he took public transportation from North Carolina up to New York.
“Those who were selling the guns to Walker knew they were intended for distribution in New York, and they knew that the guns were illegal in New York,” Special Narcotics Prosecutor Bridget Brennan said at the presser.
Police say that 11 of the nearly 60 gun buys occurred at the Ocean Hill recording studio, and that 254 firearms in total were obtained by an undercover officer who was on the receiving end of 58 exchanges in less than a year.
Walker “had no shortage of supply or suppliers,” Kelly said, “so the NYPD made sure it was Walker’s only New York customer.”
From last September through this July, the undercover agent purchased 116 guns from Walker, most of which came fullu loaded, according to authorities. Through those interactions, the undercover officer also befriended 23-year-old Earl Campbell of Rock Hill, South Carolina, who before long began bringing firearms up to New York via the so-called “Chinatown bus” service.
Police say they relied on court-authorized wiretaps to monitor their suspects, and in one conversation learned that Campbell was concerned that the “stop and frisk” tactics used by the NYPD posed a large risk of being apprehended with contraband. New York officials are currently appealing a federal ruling that last week mandated the NYPD the reform its policies.
“I think generally it’s believed by law enforcement people that without this tactic, the bad guys would feel a lot more comfortable in carrying guns,” Mayor Bloomberg said early Monday. “They carried guns before. They aren’t carrying guns now,” he added, “Common sense says that if you run a risk of getting stopped, you’re going to pay more attention to what’s in your pocket.”
In all, police were able to indict 19 individuals linked to either Walker or Campbell for their alleged involvement in gun trafficking. Walker was charged with conspiracy along with six others, and faces more than 250 counts, including three counts of a criminal sale of a firearm in the first degree. Campbell has been indicted on more than 200 counts as well.
Bloomberg, whose third and final term as New York mayor will expire early next year, has long advocated for gun control. In 2006 he co-founded the Mayors Against Illegal Guns national, bipartisan coalition, which today boasts more than 1,000 representatives from 46 states. Mayor Bloomberg personally invested $3 million into the campaign, which he says brings those city leaders together to fight crime with “a belief that we can do more to stop criminals from getting guns while also protecting the rights of citizens to freely own them.”
