Macedonia is in a tough spot. Internal ethnic and political tensions and incomplete recognition by its neighbors leave the country insecure, while it is also being passed over by the other Balkan countries one by one in joining the EU. Are conditions right for another Balkan "perfect storm" of ethnic conflict?
