Central Bank Says Kabul Bank Safe Afghanistan's central bank has dismissed media reports that Kabul Bank, the country's largest private bank, is on the verge of collapse due to the murky financial dealings of its top managers. More Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has said in a statement that the United States is "deeply concerned" by the recent poisonings of Afghan schoolchildren in Kabul. More The recent ban imposed on Afghan TV channels by Pakistan’s government is not to the benefit of either country.
