15 killed as Yemen forces, gunmen battle in Sanaa:  
A firefight between Yemeni security forces and gunmen dressed in police uniforms killed 15 people and wounded 43 at the interior ministry in Sanaa on Tuesday, medical and security officials said. 



Seven Afghans, four NATO occupation force troops killed:  Seven Afghans working with Westerners have been executed, and four NATO troops and an interpreter killed in bomb attacks.

Syrian troops storm rebels command center in Aleppo, kill 150:  According to reports coming from Syria, the army attacked a rebel-held school in Aleppo's Salahuddin district, which was being used as a command center, on Wednesday and inflicted heavy losses on anti-Damascus armed groups. 



UN observers confirm rebels in possession of tanks in Syria 's largest city:  The UN Supervision Mission in Syria said it's deeply concerned about the situation in Aleppo city, confirming that the armed rebels, for the first time, are in possession of heavy weapons including tanks. 



General Assembly to ask Syria's Assad to step down:  The draft resolution takes a swipe at Russia and China by "deploring the Security Council failure" to act. Moscow and Beijing have used their veto in the Council three times to kill resolutions that might have opened the door to sanctions on Syria.

2 people killed in armed attack in Sudan's North Darfur:  A Sudanese official and his driver were killed on Wednesday when an unidentified armed group attacked his vehicle in Kutum area of North Darfur state, the official SUNA news agency reported. 



DR Congo accuses Rwanda of backing rebels:
The remark came as the rebels warned that negotiation could only take place if Kabila steps down. 



Europe Suspends Aid to Rawanda Govt:
Germany and Britain have joined the Netherlands in recent days in suspending aid to Rwanda, in response to a recent report by a group of United Nations experts which said Rwanda was instrumental in forming and supporting the M23 rebel group led by indicted war criminal Bosco Ntaganda.
