Bombs kill 46 across Afghanistan
:  
Suicide bombers launched multiple attacks in a remote corner of southwestern Afghanistan near the Iranian border Tuesday, killing dozens of people including shoppers buying sweets for a Muslim holiday and leaving charred and smoldering bits of cookies and dried fruit among the bodies on the ground. 



30 killed in Pakistan clash:  Security forces targeted militants' hideouts in different areas in Upper Orakzai Agency and killed 25 "militants", Dunya News reported. During the clashes, five security personnel were also killed and 16 others sustained injuries. 



Pakistani Military Attack Afghan Checkpoints, Killing 1 Soldier:  Pakistan's military attacked Afghan checkpoints in eastern Kunar province on Tuesday morning, killing one Afghan border policeman and injuring five others, a local official said. 



Nigeria army kills 20 suspected Boko Haram members:  "We got a report that some suspected members of Boko Haram were meeting at a particular location in Maiduguri. Our men mobilised, leading to a shootout. Twenty suspected terrorists were killed," Ebhaleme told AFP news agency.
