CORPORATE: Indian nuclear joint venture agreement signed
An agreement came today to create a joint venture for the construction of new nuclear power plants in India by Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd and National Thermal Power Corporation, India's largest power company.
CORPORATE: Enel looks at foreign markets
The prospect of Enel's involvement in the Kaliningrad nuclear project has been raised by a cooperation deal with a Russian firm made during a meeting which also saw a fusion agreement.
WASTE & RECYCLING: Westinghouse the choice for Chooz
A Westinghouse-led consortium has been contracted to dismantle the reactor vessel of Chooz A, the first pressurised water reactor to be decommissioned in France.
NEW NUCLEAR: Jordan: proposed nuclear sites 'suitable'
Geological and site studies in southern Jordan have shown the proposed locations to be suitable to house the country's first nuclear reactor.
