Good question! Feline Urological Syndrome is important to address when discussing cat care. We checked in with veterinary technician Sharon Gardner and this is her advice on how to keep your kitty healthy:
- Symptoms of FUS include frequent trips to the litter box, crying out while urinating, blood in your cat's urine, and an inflamed abdomen.
- Both female and male cats are prone to FUS, but it's more common in male cats.
- Be sure your cat always has access to fresh water to help prevent FUS.
- If your cat shows any sign of FUS, it is considered a medical emergency and you should take him to a vet immediately.
