Rescuers try to help those stuck in a submerged car in Hildale, Utah.
At least 8 people have been killed and five others missing in the US state of Utah when flash floods triggered by heavy rain swept them away in their cars.
At least 16 people in two different vehicles were believed to have been caught in the floods that swept through streets near the city of Hildale, Utah, Hildale assistant fire chief Kevin Barlow said on Monday.
The vehicles were carrying women and children who were coming back from a park in the area when the flash flood hit, Barlow said.
The flood “obviously caught these people off guard,” he told The Associated Press. “Most of the people were thrown from the vehicles.”
Three people survived as the flash flooding washed the vehicles several hundred meters downstream.
The flooding ravaged a community that stretches the border from Hildale, Utah, to Colorado City, Arizona.
Eight people were confirmed dead and five others were still missing as rescue crews work to find trapped people and clear the streets from mud and debris.
The floods came after heavy rains fell in the canyons around the city, sending waves of water rushing through the streets.
The flooding also caused other problems. Several blocks of homes are without power and water due to the flooding.
“We’re pretty used to flash flooding, but this is significantly more than what we’re used to,” Barlow said.

Some random Greek island (in this case Lesbos) which along with others such as Kos are now under total migrant siege.
An Egyptian billionaire, who has been offering to buy a Mediterranean island to provide refugees with decent living conditions, has identified potential locations and is now in talks to purchase two private Greek islands.
Egyptian TV tycoon Naguib Sawiris, whose fortune is worth an estimated $3 billion, has “identified two privately owned Greek islands that constitute a good opportunity for the project,” a statement from his communication office reads.
“We have corresponded with the owners and expressed our interest to go into negotiation[s] with them,” the statement added, clarifying that the islands, if purchased, would still “fall under Greece’s jurisdiction.”
The future of the deal will depend on Athens’ approval to host the maximum number of refugees permitted under the country’s laws. Sawiris also hopes that Greece will take care of the “administrative process” of bringing the future migrant residence onto the islands.
The 61-year-old also claimed that the UN’s refugee agency UNHCR offered to co-operate on the project, which requires a minimum $100mn investment. The billionaire also seeks to create a new joint-stock company with a starting capital of $100mn which will be tasked with handling donations.
The third richest man in Africa has promoted the idea of “Aylan Island,” named in memory of Aylan Kurdi, ever since the story three-year-old Syrian toddler who washed up on a Turkish beach after a failed attempt to get to the Greek island of Kos was photo-documented, breaking international headlines earlier this month.
In an interview with Newsweek, the billionaire said that his letters to the Italian prime minister, Matteo Renzi, and his Greek counterpart, Alexis Tsipras, have yet to be acknowledged by the two governments.
“I sent a letter saying that I need them to provide me permission to take the refugees there and if they have an island to sell, I am a buyer,” he told Newsweek. “It would help me much and what I need from them is the approval to get the refugees there and the administrative support,” in terms of customs and passport control as well as a small unit for security.
While acknowledging that he is willing to spend up to $200 million on the purchase, the TV tycoon praised the strong response from volunteers and investors that are willing to help the noble cause.
“I have got around 10,000 emails. Many people said they would volunteer to come and help me build this city, I have two people saying they want to donate $10m and so on,” he said.
Besides helping out the refugees, Sawiris says that buying Mediterranean island would help out austerity stricken Athens.
“I know that the Greek government owns a lot of islands that are uninhabited and they need the money. It would be doing the EU a favor, that is giving [Greece] the money anyhow,” Sawiris told Newsweek. “So it would look good that they are helping a humanitarian idea. It would be saving the EU from a burden and helping to do something [about the refugee crisis].”

An absolutely shocking joint-report circulating in the Kremlin prepared by the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) and Federal Security Service (FSB) states that the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) earlier today refused to accept a massive list complied by Russian intelligence agencies of Islamic terrorists already in or traveling to both America and Europe and stated that their reason for doing so was due to its not being “politically viable in the present atmosphere”.
According to this report, President Putin, on behalf of The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), authorized the release of this massive list of at least 87,000 “known/suspected” terrorists affiliated with the terror state Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL/ISIS) during his meeting today with the Council of Chiefs of State in the Tajikistan capital of Dushanbe warning that this Islamic State has designs on the holy cities of Mecca, Medina, Jerusalem and endangers Europe and Russia. [Note: The SVR and FSB have the most extensive list of “known/suspected” terrorists in world compiled from citizenship identification records provided to them by Pakistan, Egypt, Syria, Libya, Iraq and other such affiliated countries.]
President Putin in authorizing the release of this massive terror list to the West, this report continues, noted this action was needed due to these terrorists being a threat to the Federation, and stated: “Fighters from many countries of the world, unfortunately, European countries, the Russian Federation and many former republics of the Soviet Union are undergoing ideological indoctrination and receiving military training in ISIL, and naturally, we are concerned about their possible return to our territories.”
Though President Putin is worried about these genocidal Islamic terrorists entering into the Federation, this report notes, the same is not true for either the Obama regime or European Union who, in 2012, refused Russia’s help to have Syria’s president, Bashar al-Assad step downas part of a peace deal that would have prevented the rise of ISIL/ISIS.
Former Finnish president and Nobel peace prize laureate Martti Ahtisaari in confirming Russia’s 2012 peace plan to stop the rise of ISIL/ISIS, this report says, explained that the Western powers failed to seize on the proposal and stated: “Nothing happened because I think all these, and many others, were convinced that Assad would be thrown out of office in a few weeks so there was no need to do anything.”

Even worse, this report continues, not only did the Obama regime and European Union refuse Russia’s help to stop this crisis from evening happening, they then actually affiliated themselves with the terror group al-Qaeda in a move, perhaps, best described by French political scientist Alexandre del Valle who said: “When it comes to supporting Islamic extremists in Syria to overthrow the government of Bashar al-Assad, the West is out of its mind.
Not only has the Obama regime and EU “lost their minds” in affiliating themselves with al-Qaeda, this report warns, they have further “lost their souls” by refusing to bomb over 60 ISIL/ISIS terror bases they know the locations of. Which is a known fact and led Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to comment last week that the West’s actions in refusing to attack ISIL/ISIS bases “creates a strange impression that instead of fighting ISIS there is something else which is a concern of the coalition.
Going from bad to worst too, this report notes, even as President Putin today reiterated to the West that Syrian President Assad was willing to work with opposition forces, reports have begun surfacing in Iraq that the Obama regime has now begun directly arming ISIL/ISIS terrorists.
And with these un-bombed ISIL/ISIS terror bases now supported by Obama regime weapons continuing to churn out fanatical terrorists, this report grimly states, the estimated (since end of July) 340,000 Islamic migrants that have entered the European Union this year, combined with the 250,000 per year being admitted into the United States by the Obama regime, the West has allowed one of the greatest threats to their existence to materialize.
Though the Obama regime and European Union refused to accept from the SVR and FSB this massive ISIL/ISIS terror list today, this report notes, the same cannot be said of Lebanon, where after their receipt of it they were able to estimate that over 20,000 of these terrorists were in their country awaiting travel documents to the West.
With Russia having launched their largest war games since World War II this week, this report grimly concludes, the Federation has been left with no choice but to continue the buildup of military forces in Syria to directly confront ISIL/ISIS and warn the Obama regime of “unintended consequences” should they choose to interfere.
After all, and as President Putin stated earlier today: “it was not us who destroyed [the] government institutions there [in Syria] creating the power vacuum, which is immediately filled by terrorists”…but before the final chapter is written, it will be Russia that will have to fix this mess as the United States and European Union will, most likely, have already destroyed themselves.

Members of far-right fringe parties and football supporters chanted “Poles against migrants” and “Migrants today, terrorists tomorrow”.
Thousands of people joined anti-migrant protests in three eastern European capitals on Saturday after leaders from the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia opposed an EU scheme to fix refugee quotas.
In the Polish capital Warsaw, nearly 5,000 people, many chanting anti-Islamic slogans, marched through the city, an AFP correspondent said. “Islam will be the death of Europe”, one of the banners said.
Organizers claimed the demonstration drew 10,000 people but police refused to confirm the figure.
“We’re here so that the government hears our voice and abandons any plans to welcome Muslims,” shouted one of the organizers after starting the march with prayers which identified the participants as Roman Catholics.
Members of far-right fringe parties and football supporters chanted “Poles against migrants” and “Migrants today, terrorists tomorrow”.
Another thousand or so joined a “Welcome refugees” rally in favor of hosting migrants in Poland, a strongly Catholic EU member state which has a population of 38 million and has seen hardly any newcomers arriving, despite Europe experiencing its biggest movement of people since World War II.

The North Korean authorities have announced they are ready to deal with US hostility “with nuclear weapons any time” and are working to improve the country’s nuclear weapons “in quality and quantity.”
“If the US and other hostile forces persistently pursue their reckless hostile policy towards the DPRK, we are fully prepared to respond with nuclear weapons at any time,” said the director of the North’s Atomic Energy Institute, as cited by the state KCNA news agency.
The statement was made by the director of the North’s Atomic Energy Institute as reported by the state KCNA news agency. North Korea is working to improve its nuclear weapons “in quality and quantity,” said the official.
Pyongyang has already started to operate a nuclear reactor at the Yongbyon Nuclear Scientific Research Center, North Korea’s major nuclear facility, about 90 kilometers from the capital Pyongyang.
“All the nuclear facilities in Yongbyon [Nuclear Scientific Research Center], including the uranium enrichment plant and five megawatt reactor were rearranged, changed or readjusted and they started normal operation,” the director of the Atomic Energy Institute told the North’s Korean Central News Agency.
On Monday, North Korea’s National Aerospace Development Administration said it had almost completed developing a new earth observation satellite.
“The world will clearly see a series of satellites of [North] Korea soaring into the sky at the times and locations determined by the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea,” according to a statement from the administration.
However, Seoul says these satellites may be long-range rockets, which could be a provocation and pose a threat to its neighbors.
“North Korea’s ballistic missile launches are a grave provocative act and military threat as well as a clear violation of UN Security Council resolutions banning any activity using ballistic missile technology,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Noh Kwang-il said.
Tensions have recently escalated on the Korean peninsula. In August, South and North exchanged fire over the South’s propaganda loud speakers installed at the border. Pyongyang demanded they be removed. The trans-border shelling prompted evacuation of civilians from nearby villages and both countries’ militaries were put on high alert and combat readiness.
Pyongyang also issued nuclear threats to Washington, saying it would respond accordingly if the America didn’t halt its military exercises with South Korea. The North added it was ready to use its latest weapons, which are “unknown to the world.”
However, the tensions didn’t result in war. At the end of August, both sides reached an agreement to end the military standoff.
