Malaysia: Repeal Section 203A of the Penal Code

ARTICLE 19 is concerned that amendments to create new criminal offences of “disclosing information” in Section 203A of Malaysia’s Penal Code are alarmingly broad. If the provision enters into force, it will threaten freedom of expression and information for all people, entrenching secrecy in public affairs and undermining accountability for wrongdoing.  Read more >
