While the western mainstream media meme is that "this is all China's fault" - despite the fact that the real break happened after the FOMC Minutes last week - Xinhua reports that China central bank blames wide-spread expectations of a Fed rate hike in September for the global market rout... demanding The Fed "remain patient.

As Xinhua reports,
A researcher with China's central bank on Tuesday blamed wide expectation of a Fed rate rise in September for the global market rout.

Yao Yudong, head of the People's Bank of China's Research Institute of Finance, said the expected Fed rate hike next month had been the "trigger" for the wild market swings.

Analysts worried that the Fed rate hike could accelerate the plunge of U.S. stocks andtrigger a sell-off of assets worldwide and even a new global credit crisis.

Yao said the Fed should remain patient before the U.S. inflation reaches 2 percent.

As stock markets continue their slide into negative territory, economists debate whether the problems lie in monetary mismanagement by the US Federal Reserve or with China's domestic concerns "exporting pain" to others via its yuan devaluation.

Speaking to RT, economist Peter Schiff of Euro Pacific Capital Inc. said that there is a lot of "scapegoating" surrounding China and the yuan's devaluation when it comes to the recent downward fortunes of global stock markets, but that the Federal Reserve is the more responsible culprit when it comes to any instability in the American economy.

"This is not about China. This problem is made in America. It's all about the Fed. The Fed inflated this bubble and now they're threatening to prick it. Everybody expects the Fed to actually raise interest rates," Schiff said, after US stocks rallied early Tuesday before crashing in the final hour of trading.

He went on to say that he believes the possibility of the Fed raising rates is "a bluff," and that doing so would trigger another financial crisis.

The Pentagon's inspector general is investigating allegations that military officials have skewed intelligence assessments about the United States-led campaign in Iraq against the Islamic State to provide a more optimistic account of progress, according to several officials familiar with the inquiry.

The investigation began after at least one civilian Defense Intelligence Agency analyst told the authorities that he had evidence that officials at United States Central Command— the military headquarters overseeing the American bombing campaign and other efforts against the Islamic State — were improperly reworking the conclusions of intelligence assessments prepared for policy makers, including President Obama, the government officials said.

Fuller details of the claims were not available, including when the assessments were said to have been altered and who at Central Command, or Centcom, the analyst said was responsible. The officials, speaking only on the condition of anonymity about classified matters, said that the recently opened investigation focused on whether military officials had changed the conclusions of draft intelligence assessments during a review process and then passed them on.
Comment: Falsifying records, deceiving the public, "possibly misleading" the supreme decision-makers...and the penalty for this might be...? Or is this just another layer of problem solving to pull the wool, gain confidence and divert a real investigation or something else. From the looks of it, we have a 3-D pseudo war of Distortion, Deception and Disinformation. "Service Bias"...now there's an interesting term for manipulation and lying!

donbass_poslednie_novosti_novo.jpg

The Minsk-2 ceasefire agreement is dead but no one wants to bury the rotting corpse. Since it was signed in February of this year the Donbas governments and Russia have bent over backward to comply with the terms of that agreement hoping against hope that the Kiev junta would do the same. They hoped in vain.

Poroshenko and his fascist allies instead have refused to change the constitution to accommodate the concerns of the Donbas republics, have tried to suppress the Communist Party and other parties in opposition, have refused to withdraw heavy weaponry from the line of contact, have maintained increasingly heavy artillery attacks on the civilian populations and areas and cut off routes for essential foodstuffs, medical aid and technical equipment. Rather than enjoying a ceasefire, the peoples of the Donbas are under a state of siege.

Poroshenko openly calls for a military solution to the crisis and has increased the draft in the west. The NATO alliance continues to pour in its forces disguised as "advisers" and "mercenaries" and puts additional pressure on Russia with multiple military exercises from the Baltic to Bulgaria, where more tanks have been recently dispatched to "send Russia a message."
Comment: Russia and Donbass have played the game of geopolitics well, despite the carnage and massive war crimes committed by Kiev and NATO against them. Knowing full well that peace was the last thing Kiev/NATO wanted (despite lip service to the contrary), Russia not only drafted all the important portions of the Minsk agreements to show that they were fully committed to a rational, peaceful resolution to the conflict; Donbass fully complied with their end of the bargain.

So when the agreements inevitably fail, it will be demonstrably Kiev's failure. What then? It looks like DPR and LPR haven't given up their wish to join the Russian Federation:
In late autumn, the integration of the two Novorossiya republics, the DPR and LPR, into the structure of Russia will reach a qualitatively new level: it is expected that after a month, after holding local elections to the government of Novorossiya, a referendum will be carried out which will put forth the question of the DPR and LPR joining the Russian Federation.
Moscow has consistently stated its wish that DPR and LPR remain part of Ukraine, albeit as semi-autonomous regions. Will that change? Or will the people's will have some effect on the so-far intransigent Kiev 'government'?

In less than a week China's modest, by-the-book devaluation of its currency appears to have escalated into a full-scale political crisis, complete with reports of a Mao-style purge of top leaders and tanks in Tiananmen Square. Suddenly, the world's highest-flying economy appears headed for the brick wall of reality.

Reality doesn't mean early onset doom and gloom.

The danger of making 2 plus 2 equal 5 or 6 in this volatile interim is all too real. So is another week of panic in the bond and equity markets—as bad as or worse than the wholly unwarranted freak-out we've just been through.

The new municipal judge in Ferguson has recalled all arrest warrants issued before 2015. The decision gives many residents of the troubled Missouri city a fresh start, just days before a court reform law is to take effect.

Issued by Ferguson Municipal Court Judge Donald McCullin, the order applies to all arrest warrants prior to December 31, 2014, whether for minor traffic violations or more serious offenses. Close to 10,000 warrants are affected by the decision, municipal prosecutor Stephanie Karr told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

"These changes should continue the process of restoring confidence in the court, alleviating fears of the consequences of appearing in court, and giving many residents a fresh start," said McCullin, who was appointed to the post in June. His predecessor, Ronald Brockmeyer, resigned in March following a scathing Department of Justice report accused Ferguson of unconstitutional practices and racial profiling.
Comment: Wow, a town of 21,000 voids 10,000 arrest warrants! That is almost half of the population! This seems like great news but will do little to really change the town's image of racial profiling.

Vester Lee Flanagan, who was known on air under the name Bryce Williams, has reportedly cited Charleston church shooting as a trigger for his attack on WDBJ news crew. His tweets also reveal his frustrations.

Williams killed Alison Parker, a 24-year-old reporter, and Adam Ward, a 27-year-old cameraman, during a live broadcast at 6:45 a.m. local time.

Flanagan wrote a 23-page manifesto, in which he details his grievances. He faxed it to ABC News about 2 hours after the shooting took place and called them on the phone, saying that authorities are after him and "all over the place" and hung up. ABC immediately sent the fax to the authorities.

While ABC has not released the full text, they have published some excerpts. The shooter said that he was suffering from racial discrimination and sexual harrassment at work, as a homosexual African-American.

A large part of his motivation appears to be as revenge for the Charleston shooting, where a white man killed nine black people in a historic church.

A fire has been contained at a hangar of the Dublin airport after the blaze prompted the suspension of all incoming and departing flights for about an hour.

Four fire engines were at the scene to deal with the fire, which started at 0715 local time (0615 GMT). The Dublin airport's firefighters were also tackling the fire. No injuries have been reported.
Comment: It appears an unusual amount of buildings have been catching fire or exploding lately. In Earth Changes and the Human-Cosmic Connection, Pierre Lescaudron presents the possibility that certain types of buildings or factories can act as attractors for dramatic electrical discharges, whether 'sparked' by incoming comet fragments or atmospheric electrical conditions. So could something similar be responsible for some of these fires?

A 10-month operation by an Australian police anti-pedophile taskforce put an end to a global 'dark net' of child abusers that had 45,000 members. An Australian administering a pedophile 'bulletin board' was sentenced to 35 years in jail for child abuse.

Queensland's Taskforce Argos targeting child abuse disclosed a clandestine pedophile ring, saving potentially hundreds of children from sexual exploitation, reports the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC).

Members of the ring residing in Australia, Europe, United Kingdom and the US ranked inside the network in accordance with the quantity and originality of materials they uploaded for common use inside the site. The name of the network, using encryption software to hide identities and mask people's browsing history, has not been publicly disclosed by a South Australian District Court.

Investigation of a global child abuse led Argos to Australian national ringleader, who turned out to be Families SA (South Australia) employee Shannon McCoole from Adelaide. He was childcare worker with the agency from 2011 to 2014.

Should trains get airport-style security? With a Papal visit next month and the increasing number of passengers along the Northeast Corridor, some say the rails are vulnerable soft targets. It's also a concern after Americans thwarted a train attack in France.

Investigator Mike Hellgren has more on what's being done here.

Amtrak has a 500 officer force. There's also MTA police and a TSA program that assists with security—but the fact is that many smaller train stations have little security...and that makes them appealing targets.

There's video of the frightening attack on a high-speed train bound for Paris. Three Americans took down a man armed with an AK-47 and other weapons.
Comment: Three out of four people traveling between DC and New York will now have to experience the "security theater" conditioning them to the burgeoning police state.

"EITHER YOU buy these or I take your car, 'cause it's unregistered."

Officer Matthew Zagursky didn't mince words Thursday when he flashed tickets to the Hero Thrill Show, a fundraiser that supports the families of fallen officers and firefighters, to two men after pulling them over.

And yesterday, hours after a recording of that exchange went viral, Commissioner Charles Ramsey didn't either.

"No part of that video is good," Ramsey said of the footage, which also shows Zagursky spouting homophobic slurs. "It's just bad all the way around."

Ramsey said Zagursky, 32, has been pulled from North Philly's 24th District and placed on administrative duty as the Internal Affairs Bureau investigates the video, posted to Facebook by a user named "Rob Stay Faded."

"He used the tickets as a lever to not do his duty; that's extortion," Ramsey said of Zagursky. "Whether or not it's criminal is a decision above my paygrade."

For years we've been told that everything is just sunshine and rainbows with the global economy. Everyone from politicians to media personalities to mainstream financial analysts, have all been guilty of coddling the public with fudged numbers and reassuring news of an economic recovery that never truly manifested. Ever since 2008 (and arguably before then) they've done everything in their power to keep us in the dark, and they've saturated the airwaves with the same dog and pony show, over and over again, in the hopes that we would never realize how screwed we are.

So how would you feel if one day, a political figure suddenly reached out to the public, dropped the act, and started telling you to prepare for a devastating economic collapse? What if someone with establishment credentials started talking like the end of the world was upon us? That would be kind of strange and unsettling right?

Well that's exactly what just happened in the UK.
Comment: Should one prepare for a collapse or not?
  • If you prepare for collapse and it doesn't happen, then you look a tiny bit foolish.
  • If you don't prepare for collapse and collapse does happen, then you look a tiny bit dead.
Now, which would you prefer to be, foolish or dead?

american_gulag.jpg

For decades, the Soviet Gulags under Joseph Stalin had been considered some of the worst prisons in all of history. But now things have changed.

The United States has far exceeded the horrific tolls of the gulags. In the Soviet example, there were more than 18 million victims during the gulags' use over four decades.

Around a million people died in the gulags over the years.

Now, as of 2009, the United States tolls soar higher than 7 million in prison, on probationor in some way caught up in the American prison system.

On the surface that might sound like a lot less than the gulag total above. But when you factor in all who have been put through the US prison system, we find a total that is higher than 19 million. That's more than the 18 million locked up in the gulag system over those forty years.

Just like the Soviet Gulag System, the American Prison-For-Profit industry sells itself with the pitch that it is about "rehabilitation." The government even has the audacity to call the prison system the "U.S. Department of Corrections."

An ancient Greek palace filled with cultic objects and clay tablets written in a lost script may be the long-lost palace of Mycenaean Sparta, one of the most famous civilizations of ancient Greece.

The 10-room complex, called Ayios Vassileios, was filled with striking artifacts, including fragments of ornate murals, a cultic cup with a bull's head, a seal emblazoned with a nautilus and several bronze swords. The palace, which burnt to the ground in the 15th or early 14th century B.C., also contained several tablets written in Linear B script, the earliest known form of written Greek, the Greek Ministry of Culture said in a statement. The ancient palace was uncovered about 7.5 miles (12 kilometers) away from the historical Sparta that arose centuries later.

The discovery could shed light on a mysterious period in the history of the Mycenaean civilization, the Bronze Age culture that mysteriously collapsed in 1200 B.C.

Everyday cosmetic and cleaning products contain huge quantities of plastic particles, which are released to the environment and could be harmful to marine life, according to a new study.

Research at Plymouth University has shown almost 100,000 tiny 'microbeads' -- each a fraction of a millimetre in diameter -- could be released in every single application of certain products, such as facial scrubs.

The particles are incorporated as bulking agents and abrasives, and because of their small size it is expected many will not be intercepted by conventional sewage treatment, and are so released into rivers and oceans.

Researchers, writing in Marine Pollution Bulletin, estimate this could result in up to 80 tonnes of unnecessary microplastic waste entering the sea every year from use of these cosmetics in the UK alone.
Comment: Microbeads are highly potent concentrators of toxins. Tiny marine creatures often mistake these particles for food, and these plankton are eaten in large numbers by other fish. These chemicals then biomagnify up the food chain, meaning that top predators such as tuna and swordfish, which are consumed by humans, have high concentrations.

A 20 ton whale which was beached on the Baltic coast in northern Poland was lifted out of the water on Tuesday afternoon.

The first crane brought in on Tuesday morning turned out to be too weak to lift the dead aquatic mammal.

However, the second machine completed the task. It was no easy feat however, as gases which had accumulated inside the animal over the last couple of warm days posed a risk of the whale exploding.

Marine biologists from the station on Hel Peninsula were called out on Saturday to deal with the dead whale washed up on one of the sandbanks near the locality of Stegna, eastwards of Gdańsk.

It is suspected that this might be the humpback seen some months ago in the Gulf of Gdańsk.

The conditions in the partly shallow gulf are far too difficult for whales, and this one probably couldn't find its way out on to the open water.

Heavy rain in North Korea killed 40 people, stranded thousands in flash floods and caused "massive" damage on the weekend, the International Federation of the Red Cross said and North Korean media said.

More than 11,000 people were forced from their homes or otherwise affected by the floods, which hit the northeastern city of Rajin, near the border with Russia and China, on Saturday and Sunday, Hler Gudjonsson, a spokesman for the Red Cross in Beijing told Reuters.

Rajin is the capital of the Rason Special Economic Zone in North Hamgyong Province.

"It rained really hard, and fast. On Saturday morning the city was flooded. Cars were wading through water like boats," a source who was in area when it flooded told Reuters.

It was not clear what impact the rain would have in a country that said in June it was suffering from its worst drought in a century. South Korea said in July some rain had fallen in the North, easing conditions.

The world broke new heat records in July, marking the hottest month in history and the warmest first seven months of the year since modern record-keeping began in 1880, US authorities said Thursday.

The findings by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration showed a troubling trend, as the planet continues to warm due to the burning of fossil fuels, and scientists expect the scorching temperatures to get worse.

"The world is warming. It is continuing to warm. That is being shown time and time again in our data," said Jake Crouch, physical scientist at NOAA's National Centers for Environmental Information.

"Now that we are fairly certain that 2015 will be the warmest year on record, it is time to start looking at what are the impacts of that? What does that mean for people on the ground?" he told reporters.

The month's average temperature across land and sea surfaces worldwide was 61.86 Fahrenheit (16.61 Celsius), marking the hottest July ever.

The previous record for July was set in 1998.

Scientists at the Nevada Seismological Laboratory say there has been a "swarm" of more than 5700 earthquakes in northwestern Nevada since last July. They include 21 4.0 temblors.

In 2008, the community of Mogul, west of Reno, also experienced an earthquake swarm.

Graham Kent is Director of the lab on the University of Nevada-Reno campus. He says the number of tremors in that swarm pales in comparison to this one.

"A magnitude 5.0 was the largest and a couple fours's and a bunch of three's and you look back at it and go 'wow!' that was hardly anything."

Kent said this kind of seismic activity is rare anywhere. He says the location of the swarm, which is below an antelope preserve, makes it a perfect place to study earthquake behavior.

"This is a great petri dish. So, now we have this kind of gold-medal swarm going and it doesn't affect a lot of people. So, what we can learn from this, hopefully we can apply the next time there's a swarm underneath a community."

More than 200 quakes 3.0 and stronger have been measured in the Sheldon National Wildlife Refuge since last July.

Seven of them were 4.5 or stronger.

Histamine is found lurking primarily in aged, cured, fermented, cultured, and spoiled foods. From a survival perspective, it is imperative that humans have avoided rotting flesh. When animals die, bacteria from the gastrointestinal tract leaks out and starts digesting proteins. Some of the amino acids from the proteins are converted by bacterial enzymes to bioactive amines, the chief of which is histamine (formed from amino acid histamine) At low levels, histamine increases stomach acid, which helps kill off any bacteria we may be exposed to. However, at high levels, histamine may trigger nausea, diarrhea, heart palpitations and dilation of blood vessels may cause a severe headache.

This might be shocking to you, but certain types of beans can be quite poisonous. Did you know that red beans were legally prohibited from being imported into South Africa because of "their potential toxicity to humans"? The main cause is a toxin called 'phytohaemagglutinin' or kidney bean lectin. This is a sugar based protein (glycoprotein) which is found in many types of beans such as cannellini beans. However, red kidney beans contain the highest concentrations of this toxin. It only takes a few beans to cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pains.

Kidney beans, black beans and navy beans are high in oligosaccharides. Our bodies can not produce the enzyme necessary to break down these complex sugars. When we eat beans, the oligosaccharides ferment in the lower intestine producing carbon dioxide and methane gases.
Comment: All seeds of the grass family - wheat, rye, rice, spelt are high in lectins. They are also found in beans, dairy and in the nightshades (tomatoes, potatoes, eggplant). These foods have the potential to destroy nutrients and vitamins in the body and make you more susceptible to serious illnesses, such as heart disease and obesity.

Noroviruses are the predominant cause of gastroenteritis outbreaks in community settings such as hospitals, cruise ships, and schools. The virus is extremely contagious and is mostly transmitted via "fecal-oral-route," i.e., through contaminated hands or contaminated food. Symptoms include violent and sudden onset of diarrhea, vomiting, and nausea.

"It is therefore important to provide a safe and harmless disinfectant against human norovirus," explains Grant Hansman, head of CHS junior research group at the German Cancer Research Center noroviruses and the University of Heidelberg. The group is funded by the CHS Foundation. Some older observations found that fruit extracts, such as orange or pomegranate juice, could reduce the infectivity of surrogate noroviruses.

This current study was a continuation of an earlier project conducted at the National Institutes of Health in the United States, where they discovered that citrate from a commercial company could bind to the norovirus capsid protein. "However, it was only by chance that this discovery was made, like a lot of scientific research, but it turns out to be very interesting." Dr Hansman explains.

The science that saturated fat alone causes heart disease is non-existent and more health experts and scientists have finally exposed the myth. According to an analysis of over 100 studies of dietary fat and cardiovascular health, saturated fats are not the problem, but trans fats are.

More physicians and medical specialists are speaking out on what really causes disease. World renown heart surgeon Dr. Dwight Lundell, made headlines when he stated the facts on the actual causes of heart disease. "As a heart surgeon with 25 years experience, having performed over 5,000 open-heart surgeries, today is my day to right the wrong with medical and scientific fact," he was quoted in a statement.

Most dietary advice recommends limiting the consumption of saturated fats, which are found in butter, meat and eggs, due to the risk of developing heart disease. But Russell de Souza of McMaster University in Ontario, Canada, and his team were unable to find a clear association between these fats and the chances of heart or cardiovascular disease.
Comment: It seems that that tide is turning on saturated fat. The question is, how long will it take for mainstream medicine to pass this information on to patients who need it the most?

It is easy to statistically measure the effects of bad nutritional consumption, knowing one out of three children in the U.S. are considered overweight or obese. But how do we calculate the effects of an unhealthy diet of the mind? How do we measure mental nutrition?

Today it is very popular for people to focus on the importance of what children eat and how nutrition is important for the proper development of their bodies. The effects of junk food are substantial in a child's life. Yet not enough attention is directed toward what is being fed to the minds of our youth. Meaningless entertainment, instead of judicious messages, dominates today. A constant barrage of nonsense influences children. The media resorts to cartoons that portray vomit as entertainment, books with intentionally poor grammar about an underwear-wearing super hero, and repugnant stories about a farting dog, highlighting and celebrating stupidity and meaningless trivia that hold absolutely no importance in life.

This is what many refer to as "Mind Garbage." An immature ploy of "potty humor" seems to have replaced witty humor. Junk food for the mind is unquestionably accepted and often used as a distraction for children because of parents' busy and stressful lives. Bored and unmotivated children tend to desire entertainment over engagement in learning. In today's Age of Information true knowledge is scarce, and children are overwhelmed with foolish stories based on mindless material with little or no value.

With US Empire a possible culprit behind the massive Tianjin explosions, the ongoing currency and cyber wars with China are now escalating to potential military war. China or Russia's potent electromagnetic pulse weapons could destroy America's electrical power grid making our nation an increasingly vulnerable target. Even an ISIS invasion with its US gifted missiles (while fighting as US mercenaries against Assad's Syrian forces) could take out the power grid. In an instant this could end life as we know it in America, killing 90% of US citizens within the short time of just one year. A buildup of Russian troop movement along the Eastern Ukraine border in response to the US-NATO-mercenary-Nazi coalition is presently converging with Kiev forces moving eastward for what could become an epic military showdown with both the Russian rebels alongside the Russia army.

South and North Korean military forces just exchanged artillery fire during the latest annual US-South Korean war games joined by over a half dozen other Western nations after North Korea threatened to attack mainland US should joint exercises go forward. Are all these near daily developments and confrontations bringing the already simmering
