As many as 16 countries of the European Union have announced their decision to opt out of GM crops. The countries will no longer be cooperating with GMO produce of such major companies as Monsanto, Dow, Syngenta and Pioneer, EntryNews.com reports.
Germany, Italy, Denmark, Bulgaria and Cyprus have recently filed their requests and applications, increasing the number to 16. In August, Scotland publicly said it would prohibit GMO crops out of concern that they could damage the country’s “clean and green” brand.
“Scotland is known around the world for our beautiful natural environment – and banning growing genetically modified crops will protect and further enhance our clean, green status,” Rural affairs secretary Richard Lochhead said in a statement at the time.
“A growing number of governments are rejecting the commission’s drive for GM crop approvals,” Greenpeace’s E.U. food policy director Franziska Achterberg told the Guardian. “They don’t trust the E.U. safety assessments and are rightly taking action to protect their agriculture and food. The only way to restore trust in the E.U. system now is for the commission to hit the pause button on GM crop approvals and to urgently reform safety testing and the approval system.”

Video footage shot outside a refugee camp in Europe shows a migrant complaining about the lack of sex available in the camp while bemoaning the fact that he had to stay in a taxpayer funded hospital for three days because of ‘blue balls’.
“I sleep three days in hospital,” the migrant tells the interviewer, who asks him what the problem was.
The man points to his groin while laughing, “problem here….balls is very big….he said make sex with anyone.”
Another man then complains about the fact that he can’t bring any girls (presumably prostitutes) to the refugee camp.
It is not known where the footage was shot, but the subtitles to the video are in Dutch.
Last week we also highlighted a video in which “refugees” at a camp in the Netherlands complain about the facility having slow Internet, average food and not being given enough money to buy cigarettes.
The lack of females with whom to have sex has not been a problem for some migrants at camps in Germany, who areforcing women and underage girls into prostitution.
As we previously reported, the German media and police in some areas are covering up rapes committed by migrants to as not to offend the flood of new Muslim “refugees” entering the country – which is set to include another 900,000 before the end of the year.
The Gatestone Institute has compiled a lengthy list of rapes committed by migrants in and around refugee camps in Germany, the victims of which are mainly teenagers and children (including other migrants and Germans living locally).
We also recently highlighted the story of an Arabic-speaking European woman who traveled on a train departing Budapest alongside migrants who threatened to take her hostage and rape her.

A malnourished two-year-old Yemeni girl receives treatment at a hospital in the capital, Sana’a.
Days of bombardment do not appear to end as the Saudi air force keeps dispatching warplanes to strike even more targets across Yemen, which is facing a deteriorating humanitarian situation.
According to the latest media reports on Sunday, Saudi jets pounded the province of Sana’a, targeting residential areas in al-Jaraf, a car gallery and a military college.
In the northwestern province of Sa’ada, reports said at least three civilians lost their lives in as many as ten Saudi airstrikes targeting food carriers in the district of Ghamar.
Saudi aircraft also bombarded a market in the Haydan district of Sa’ada, where at least three people died. Fatalities, including a woman and children, were also reported in similar attacks on the Razih district of the province.
Ta’izz, located in the southwestern part of the impoverished Arab country, was another province that once again came under the airstrikes.
Furthermore, the provinces of Ma’rib, in central Yemen, as well as Hajjah and Dhamar, in the west, were hit by the Saudi airstrikes.
Shocking report by UNICEF
On October 2, Julien Harneis, the representative of the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Yemen, said “with every day that passes, children see their hopes and dreams for the future shattered.”
It was late March when Riyadh launched its aerial campaign against Yemen. The fatal military aggression, which has not received a United Nations mandate, aims to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to Saudi ally and fugitive former Yemeni president, Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi.
Six months of violence in Yemen, UNICEF said, have killed “at least 505 children.” More than 700 kids have been also injured in the airstrikes, and over 1.7 million others are at risk of malnutrition.
“Their homes, schools and communities are being destroyed, and their own lives are increasingly threatened by disease and malnutrition,” the UNICEF official stated.

Inventors at Russia’s Strategic Missile Forces have suggested the idea of using laser-generated holography instead of the country’s latest Yars intercontinental ballistic missile systems to disorient potential foes; the laser-generated technology will be unveiled in October at the international exhibition of Russia’s Defense Ministry.
“Large-scale holographic images, identical in their dimensions to Yars intercontinental ballistic missile systems, could be generated with the help of lasers.
The images could also be used to camouflage the missile systems as the surrounding landscape or other objects,” the press-service of Russia’s Defense Ministry said in a statement.
The new technology is to be unveiled at the International exhibition “Innovation Day of the Defense Ministry,” which is taking place in the Moscow region on October 5-6.
The missile system camouflage will take into account the specific nature of the military units, reflecting and radiating characteristics of the equipment and facilities.
The three-stage Yars missile is Russia’s newest mobile intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) system. It was first tested in 2007. Although most of its characteristics are classified, freely available information suggests that it can deliver at least four thermonuclear warheads weighing 300 kilotons each to a target located 11,000 kilometers away.
The ICBM is solid-fuel based, and its boost phase is much shorter compared to previous generation missiles. The RS-24 Yars has “adaptive” missile shield piercing capacity and its warheads are maneuverable – making it highly unlikely to be intercepted.

Businesses should ban ham sandwiches and sausage rolls from the workplace because they’re “offensive” to Muslims and Jewish religions, according to new guidelines written for employers.
The guidelines published by CoExist House, a US and UK-based interfaith group, recommend an outright ban of pork products from office kitchens to avoid “offending” employees of the Muslim and Jewish faiths.
“It would be good etiquette to avoid heating up foods that might be prohibited for people of other faiths,” said Andy Dinham, a University of London professor who wrote the guidelines for CoExist House. “We also say, ‘Don’t put kosher or halal and other… special foods next to another [food] or, God forbid, on the same plate.”
The guidelines come as both the U.S. and the U.K. open their borders to a record number of Muslim migrants.
Other European countries, such as Sweden and Germany, have practically mutilated their own cultures to appease the new arrivals.
lesbian bishop even wanted to remove Christian crosses from Swedish churches to please Muslims and also suggested that Christian churches should offer Islamic prayer rooms.
Ironically, the bishop, Eva Brunne, would be executed for being a lesbian in some Islamic countries and would also be executed for being a Christian by the Islamic State.
Similarly, German public schools were ordering teenage girls to not wear mini-skirts or shorts that Muslim migrants find “offensive.”
German Chancellor Angela Merkel is also working with Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to censor social media postscritical of “the wave of Syrian refugees entering Germany.”
This despite the fact that only one out of every five Muslim migrants claiming asylum in Europe is from Syria.
“The EU logged 213,000 arrivals in April, May and June but only 44,000 of them were fleeing the Syrian civil war,” the Daily Mail reported.
An influential Iman Sheikh, Muhammad Ayed, encouraged Muslims to use the migrant crisis to breed with European citizens and “conquer their countries”.
“Europe has become old and decrepit and needs human reinforcement… they are not motivated by compassion for the Levant, its people and its refugees,” he said. “Soon, we will trample them underfoot, Allah willing.”

With hundreds of thousands more migrants set to pour into Sweden, a Bishop in Stockholm has proposed removing crosses from a Christian church and replacing them with Islamic symbols in order to cater for Muslims.
Bishop Eva Brunne wants to remove Christian symbols from the Seamen’s Church to make the building “more inviting” for Muslims, reports SVT, Sweden’s national public TV broadcaster.
“Leasing a room to people of other faiths, does not mean that we are not defenders of our own faith. Priests are called to proclaim Christ. We do that every day and in every meeting with people. But that does not mean that we are hostile toward people of other faiths,” wrote Brunne, attempting to justify the plan.
Brunne, who is the first openly lesbian bishop of a mainstream church in the world, wants the church to be treated more like a public airport, where prayer rooms are made available to Muslims, by removing Christian symbols and “marking the direction of Mecca.”
The proposal has drawn backlash, with Patrik Pettersson, priest of the Oscars parish in Stockholm, arguing, “The church chapel can not reasonably be equated with prayer rooms at airports and hospitals. The Christian church and chapels are not just any public areas.”
The Seamen’s Church Director, Kiki Wetterberg, also publicly opposed the idea.
“I have no problem with Muslim or Hindu sailors coming here to pray. But I believe that we are a Christian church, so we should keep the symbols. If I visit a mosque I do not ask them to take down their symbols. It’s my choice to go in there,” said Wetterberg.
It’s also ironic to consider that while Brunne is insistent on being so welcoming to Muslims, she would be executed for being a lesbian in some Islamic countries.
“This is what a society and culture in the midst of suicide looks like,” writes Robert Spencer.
If you think this story sounds too bizarre to be true, then you haven’t acquainted yourself with the progressive “utopia” that is Sweden.
This is a country in which some politicians have called for giving free housing, jobs and welfare to returning ISIS jihadists – all at taxpayer expense.
This is a country that is suffering a major housing shortage yet simultaneously has politicians telling its citizens that they may need to give up their garages in order to house third world immigrants.
Sweden is also a country that hires ISIS-sympathizers to run its immigration boards. The country’s taxpayer-funded “expert” on Islamophobia, Michael Nikolai Skråmo, also went on to join ISIS.
Watch the interview below in which a Bosnian immigrant to Sweden explains the disastrous results of the country’s open door border policy.

The representative of the Euphrates Volcano command of the FSA and the Kurdish YPG told Sputnik that the command supports Russia’s operation against ISIS/ISIL and requests military help.
The Eurphrates Volcano (Burqan al-Furat) command of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) supports Russia’s military operation in Syria and for help in battling ISIL, the command’s official spokesman Servan Devrish told Sputnik.
Euphrates Volcano is the joint command of the FSA and the Kurdish YPG (People’s Protection Units) operating in northern Syria, primarily against the Islamic State. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov previously said thatRussia is willing to make contacts with the Syrian armed opposition Free Syrian Army, but requested further information on it from the United States, referring to the FSA’s “phantom nature.”
“The Islamic State is a large-scale organization which presents an enormous threat for all, because of this only a comprehensive and well-prepared operation can be effective. We support Russia’s anti-terrorist operation against ISIL and consider it an extremely important step for eliminating this threat,” Euphrates Volcano spokesman Servan Devrish told Sputnik.
Devrish added that it is impossible to destroy ISIL with airstrikes alone, and that Euphrates Volcano as well as Kurdish Peshmerga units have been most effective at fighting ISIL with aid from airstrikes delivered by the anti-ISIL coalition.
“We ask Russia to help us with weaponry in the fight against ISIL. By uniting our forces in the framework of an aerial and ground operation, we can carry out shattering strikes against ISIL,” Devrish told Sputnik.
The Eurphates Volcano command previously fought ISIL in several large-scale battles, including the siege of Kobani, where it successfully retook the city from ISIL.
Also on Monday, several Syrian rebel groups called on regional states to ally against Russia and Iran in Syria, Reuters reported. The groups who signed on to the statement included the Ahrar Al-Sham Islamist rebel group, as well as some groups “under the umbrella of the Free Syrian Army,” according to Reuters.

The federal government uses very carefully manipulated numbers to cover up the crushing economic depression that is going on in this nation.
For the month of September, the federal government told us that 142,000 jobs were added to the economy. If that was actually true, that would barely be enough to keep up with population growth. Sadly, the truth is that the real numbers were actually far worse than that. The unadjusted numbers show that the U.S. economy actually lost 248,000 jobs in September and the government added more than a million Americans to the “not in the labor force” category. When I first saw that number I truly believed that it was inaccurate. But you can find the raw figures right here. According to the Obama administration, there are currently 7.9 million Americans that are “officially unemployed” and another 94.7 million working age Americans that are “not in the labor force”. That gives us a grand total of 102.6 million working age Americans that do not have a job right now.
That is not an economic recovery – that is an economic depression of an almost unbelievable magnitude.
This is something that my friend Mac Slavo pointed out the other day. I encourage you to read his analysis right here. If we measured unemployment the way that we did decades ago, we would all be talking about how similar Obama’s economy is to the Great Depression of the 1930s.
But instead we let the feds get away with feeding us this completely fraudulent “5.1 percent” unemployment number and most of us believe the mainstream media when they tell us that everything is just fine.
Well no, everything is not just fine. At this point, the labor force participation rate is the lowest that it has been since 1977. And the labor force participation rate for men is at the lowest level ever recorded. The only way that the federal government has been able to get the official unemployment rate to go down so much is by pretending that hundreds of thousands of Americans that have been unemployed for a very long time “leave the labor force” each month.
The chart posted below shows how our labor force participation rate has deteriorated since the year 2000. And in particular, the decline since Obama first entered the White House has been very striking. Does this look like a “healthy economy” to you?…

To me, the civilian employment-population ratio is a far more accurate measurement of the employment picture in America than the official unemployment rate is. Just prior to the last recession, approximately 63 percent of all working age Americans had a job. During that recession, that figure slipped below 59 percent and it stayed there for several years. Just recently it slipped back above 59 percent, but as you can see we are now falling once again…

The reason this number is falling is because lots of Americans have been losing jobs lately.
In fact, we are seeing layoffs at major firms at a level that we have not witnessed since 2009
The jobs report today has been described as “ugly,” though it certainly didn’t, or shouldn’t have, come out of the blue: Layoffs in the energy, Big Tech, retail, and other sectors have recently mucked up our rosy scenario.
“The third quarter ended with a surge in job cuts,” is how Challenger Gray, which tracks these things, started out its report yesterday. In September, large US-based companies had announced 58,877 layoffs. In the third quarter, they announced 205,759 layoffs, the worst quarter since the 240,233 in the third quarter of 2009!
Year-to-date, we’re at nearly half a million job cut announcements (493,431 to be precise), up 36% from the same period last year.
Some of the companies that have recently announced layoffs include Wal-Mart, RadioShack, Delta, Sprint, ConAgra, Caterpillar, Bank of America, Halliburton, Qualcomm, Microsoft and Hewlett-Packard.
If you need to find a job or you plan to switch jobs in the near future, time is of the essence. Jobs are going to become much, much harder to find in the months ahead, and so every single day of job searching is absolutely critical at this point.
Right now, there are more than 100 million Americans that get some sort of assistance from the federal government every month. Government dependence is at a level that we have never seen before in U.S. history, and it is going to get a lot worse.
If we get to a point where the government is either unwilling or unable to take care of all of these people, we are going to have a massive societal problem on our hands. More than a third of the people living in our nation cannot independently take care of themselves, and more Americans are falling out of the middle class every single day. When the welfare state starts breaking down, the chaos that will ensue will be far worse than most people would dare to imagine.
So what do you think?
Are job losses and layoffs starting to happen in your area?
Please feel free to add to the discussion by posting a comment below…

Fifty two soldiers and rebels have been killed in recent fighting in South Sudan’s troubled state of Unity.
The fatalities came in recent clashes in South Sudan’s contested state of Unity, said a military official on Saturday, blaming the rebels in the country for breaching a peace agreement signed last month.
According to military spokesman Col. Philip Aguer, “The clashes, which started Monday and continued Friday, took place in Leer and Koch. The death toll of 52 was for fighting in Koch and not Leer, which government troops had to abandon under intense fire from the rebels.”
South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir and his rival, former Vice President Riek Machar, had clinched a peace deal in August.
Meanwhile, Kiir has issued an order for an increase in the number of regional states, a move which could threaten a power-sharing deal between the government and rebels signed in August.
The presidential decree, broadcast on state radio, increases to 28 the current number of states, which 10.
Presidential spokesman Ateny Wek Ateny said, “The government has ordered there to be 28 states.”
“This is about giving more power to the people through better service delivery.”
The presidential order must now be passed by the parliament before becoming a law.
The parliament, which is almost entirely in support of President Kiir, is expected to pass the order “within one month,” the spokesman said.
He also said the government in Juba remains committed to the peace deal with rebels.
However, critics say the new plan to divide the violence-country into more states would render the agreed power-sharing formula redundant.
In reaction to the presidential order, rebel leader Riek Machar in a statement strongly denounced the decision, saying that unilateral move “is a clear violation of the peace agreement,” which is based on 10 states.
Machar signed the agreement on August 17 while the South Sudanese president signed the peace deal about ten days later, on August 26, also producing a list of reservations he said would have to be addressed in order for the agreement to be finalized.
Deal was to end civil war
The power-sharing deal aimed to end more than 21 months of civil war in the world’s youngest nation.
Under the agreement, all fighting must stop immediately, child soldiers and prisoners of war must be released, and foreign forces must leave the country within 45 days.
A transitional government of national unity will also be formed within the next three months, with Machar regaining his previous post as the first vice president.
South Sudan plunged into chaos in December 2013, when fighting erupted outside the capital, Juba, between troops loyal to Kiir and defectors led by Machar.

Moscow is “bombing the hell out of ISIS” because President Putin wants to prevent terrorism spilling into Russia, said US presidential candidate Donald Trump, criticizing failed US Middle Eastern policies that have already turned Iraq and Libya into a total mess.
“It is not even a contest!” Donald Trump said in response to an NBC News presenter’s question about whether it had been better when Saddam Hussein and Muammar Gaddafi were in power.
“Iraq is a disaster… Libya is not even a country,” he explained. “You can make the case, if you look at Libya, look at what we did there – it’s a mess. If you look at Saddam Hussein with Iraq, look what we did there – it’s a mess.”
Trump said that Washington is “destroying our country” by wasting too much money on Middle Eastern policies that do not seem to work: “We have spent $2 trillion in Iraq, probably a trillion in Afghanistan…”
“[Syria] is going to be the same thing,” Trump said, criticizing US support of so-called moderate Syrian rebels.
At one point the interviewer mentioned that Russian airstrikes could be “hitting people we’ve trained,” but Trump interrupted him by stating: “We are talking about people we don’t even know!”
“The rebel group we have no idea … I was talking to a general two days ago, he said: ‘We have no idea who these people are.’ We are training people, we don’t know who they are. We are giving them billions of dollars to fight Assad,” Trump said.
“We are fighting Assad and fighting for people, helping people …we even don’t understand who they are. And they may be worse than Assad. They may be worse,” Trump reiterated. However, he emphasized that he was “not saying Assad is a good guy.”
Trump stressed that he has nothing against the Russian anti-terrorist operation in Syria.
“I like that Putin is bombing the hell out of ISIS,” Trump said, adding that he believes that the target of the airstrikes is indeed “going to be ISIS.”
“I’ll tell you why. Putin has to get rid of ISIS ’cause Putin does not want ISIS coming into Russia,” Trump said. However, he explained that he hopes the operation will eventually weaken Russia and that Russian President Putin “will be begging to get out.”
“You watch, he’ll get bogged down there. He’ll spend a fortune,” Trump forecast. “Everybody that’s gone to the Middle East has had nothing but problems.”

Why did CNN need to change the complexion (color) of their broadcast?
CNN photoshops the photo of Oregon killer Chris Harper-Mercer to make him look white.
Chris was the son of Ian Mercer from Great Britain and Laurel Margaret Harper.

Chris lived with his mother Laurel. He posted this selfie online.
But, according to Conservative Treehouse, CNN altered the image to make Harper-Mercer look white.
Via Conservative Treehouse: On the left is the selfie Christopher Mercer uploaded to his social media. On the right is how CNN presented the same selfie in broadcast stories about him. Why did CNN need to change the complexion (color) of their broadcast? Why is no-one showing pictures of mom, Laurel Margaret Harper.

Conservative Treehouse managed to save a better photo of Chris Harper Mercer with his Muslim beard before his profile was taken down by the CIA-NSA. Obviously he was NOT a white supremacist like the American mass media is touting.
His online profiles have been erased since the shooting.

The confirmed death toll of a mudslide on the outskirts of the Guatemalan capital has climbed to 73 with nearly 350 others still missing as rescue workers recover more bodies from a collapsed hillside.
The Saturday development came as spokesman for Guatemala’s volunteer firefighters Julio Sanchez emphasized that the number of fatalities will most likely continue to climb as rescuers dig through massive amounts of earth that buried nearly 125 homes Thursday night in the Cambray neighborhood in Guatemala City’s suburb of Santa Catarina Pinula.
Underlining the shock encountered by rescue workers, Sanchez had earlier said that authorities had arrived at the death toll of 69 by counting body parts, such as heads and torsos.
Emergency services coordinator Sergio Cabanas stated that rescuers “still have hope of finding people alive if we just keep searching,” AP reported. The number of the missing had been put at 600 in earlier estimates.
Cabanas further said several people had reported receiving messages on their mobile phones from relatives trapped under the ruins.
He noted, however, that authorities had not seen the reported text messages, but had urged local telephone companies to map out those locations where the messages were originating.
However, hopes began to fade among rescuers by late Saturday with one of the rescue workers cited in the report as saying, “Given the time that has passed, the truth is there is little hope… Only a miracle can save them.”

NATO has started its biggest exercise since 2002 with 36,000 international troops from 30 states, including non-NATO nations, participating in the drills which are taking place at sea, in the air and across the territory of three European states.
The alliance has kicked off its massive “Trident Juncture 2015” exercises which will last until November 16. Along with the NATO member states, seven more partner nations are participating in the drills: Australia, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Finland, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Sweden and Ukraine.
Some 36,000 troops as well as more than 60 warships and about 200 aircraft will participate in the drills which makes it the biggest since 2002 when about 40,000 troops took part in NATO’s “Strong Resolve” military exercise.

“The purpose of the exercise is to train and test the NATO Response Force, a highly ready and technologically advanced multinational force made up of land, air, maritime and Special Forces components,” said General Hans Lothar Domrose, the Commander of Joint Force Command Brunssum.
“Enhancing our response forces is a key part of NATO’s overall effort to adapt to emerging security challenges. TRJE15 [Trident Juncture 2015] has been designed to ensure that our concepts and procedures will work in the event of a real crisis because our job is to always be prepared to defend the people, territory, and values of this Alliance,” he added.
The drills will consist of two parts: the Command Post Exercise (CPX) for Strategic and Operational level staff, and the Live Exercise (LIVEX) for tactical level troop engagements.
The CPX, which will last until October 16, will include “training, evaluation and certification activities” of the command structure of the NATO Response Force. The European Union and the African Union are also going to participate in the CPX.
LIVEX will be held in Italy, Portugal and Spain between October 21 and November 6. NATO air forces, land forces as well as maritime forces will conduct a number of exercises – for example, responding to a simultaneous, wide-scale attack of a group of 20 enemy ships, numerous aircraft and four submarines.

In late August-September NATO conducted the greatest airborne drills in Europe since the end of the Cold War. About 5,000 soldiers from 11 NATO member states participated in the “simultaneous multinational airborne operations.”
NATO has significantly stepped up its military presence and activity along the Russian border, including in the Baltic states and eastern Europe, since Russia’s reunification with Crimea and the outbreak of conflict in eastern Ukraine, which the alliance blames on Moscow.
Russia views NATO’s ongoing expansion and constant military activity as hostile and destabilizing, repeatedly warning that Moscow will respond to NATO approaching Russian borders “accordingly.”

Australia and Great Britain instituted virtually complete bans on firearm possession.
When President Obama spoke in reaction to the heinous October 1 attack on Umpqua Community College, Oregon, he went beyond his usual calls for more gun control and suggested instead that America consider following the path blazed by Australia and Great Britain.
In the mid-1990s Australia and Great Britain both instituted what were virtually complete bans on firearm possession.
Obama referenced the bans thus:
We know that other countries, in response to one mass shooting, have been able to craft laws that almost eliminate mass shootings. Friends of ours, allies of ours – Great Britain, Australia, countries like ours. So we know there are ways to prevent it.
And Obama is not the only one who suggested taking a gun-free approach to American life. The anti-Second Amendment message was also pushed by Slate, Vox, and Dan Savage.
For example, on October 1 Slate ran a story reminding readers that Australia enacted their gun ban in response to an attack on April 28, 1996, wherein a gunman “opened fire on tourists in a seaside resort in Port Arthur, Tasmania.” Thirty-five were killed and 23 others wounded in the attack. Twelve days later Australia’s government banned guns, period.
