NEW NUCLEAR: Frazer-Nash to help Horizon advance UK plans
Horizon Nuclear Power has awarded engineering consultancy Frazer-Nash a five-year framework contract for the provision of regulatory and licensing services related to its plans for constructing new nuclear power plants in the UK.

GSE Systems of the USA announced that it had received contracts totalling over $8 million for new nuclear simulators and upgrades to existing ones.

China Guangdong Nuclear Power Co (CGNPC) announced that the first reactor of the Ling Ao II nuclear power plant was connected to the grid on 15 July and has now begun trial operation.

The board of Uranium One has approved the agreement with Russia's AtomRedMetzoloto (ARMZ) under which ARMZ will acquire a controlling interest in the company in exchange for its interests in two Kazakh uranium mines and $610 million in cash.
