In this edition of The Debate, Press TV has conducted an interview with the founding editor of Opednews.com, Rob Kall, from Philadelphia, and Jim Walsh, a research associate at MIT’s Security Studies Program from Boston, to discuss the crucial ‘Super Tuesday’ primaries. Walsh believes that unlike previous presidential elections in the US, it seems that the upcoming election is much more about emotions and psychology rather than the candidates’ stance on different economic and political issues. Donald Trump has been able to gain the endorsement of a large number of people, because, even though some may disagree with him on some topics, they like the fact that he reflects their pent-up anger at the establishment, Walsh added. “That is why he is drawing more support from less educated and more moderate income people than he does from better educated and better income,” Walsh reiterated. Kall also thinks that Trump is running on a massive wave of anger and rage that most of the middle-class Americans are experiencing in a bid to attract the support of right-wing conservative voters. “Middle-class workers’ admiration of Donald Trump has its roots in their fantasy of becoming a billionaire like him rather than what is good for them,” Kall added. So far, Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump both have scored major victories on Super Tuesday, taking giant steps toward securing the US presidential nominations of their parties. Trump emerged as the winner of Republican contests in Arkansas, Virginia, Georgia, Alabama, Massachusetts and Tennessee, while Clinton triumphed in Texas, Georgia, Arkansas, Alabama, Tennessee and Virginia, according to US media projections. Marco Rubio was reportedly a “very extroverted homosexual” during his youth in South Beach, Florida, according to GOP insiders speaking to Infowars correspondent Wayne Madsen. Despite billing himself as a life-long Christian to conservative and evangelical voters, Rubio apparently participated in gay “foam parties” during the early-to-mid 1990s at gay entertainment venues such as the Warsaw Ballroom and Amnesia in which scantily-clad men were covered in suds to camouflage homosexual acts, Madsen reported. “At ‘Amnesia,’ emcee ‘Kitty Meow,’ a drag queen, would officiate over the foam parties, directing participants what to do,” Madsen revealed. “Some foam party participants only wore jock straps.” “It is entirely possible that Rubio did meet his future wife at a foam party, but the women who attended these functions were largely what are known as ‘fag hags’ out to have a good time while at the same time avoid being hit on by the gay men.” The Florida senator previously stated he was raised in a strong Christian household and never really had a “moment of conversion.” “If your faith is real, burning inside of you, it’s going to influence the way you view everything,” he told Christianity Today in 2012. “That belief influences your job and the responsibilities you have.” While Madsen’s reporting isn’t intended to pass judgement on Rubio, it’s newsworthy in the sense that Rubio’s reported past could be used to blackmail the Republican senator. The National Enquirer, which gained notoriety for being the first to release certain details of the Bill Clinton/Monica Lewinsky affair to the public, has since picked up Madsen’s story, and Rubio even admitted he attended foam parties on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon: Scroll to the 0:36 mark. “There is a low-level murmur in the media about Rubio’s rather ‘gayish’ past,” Madsen continued. “Special interest surrounds Rubio’s performance as a Chippendale/Village People-like dancer, his association with a high school and college friend in Miami who later rented property to an on-line porn operator specializing in Latino and black gay sex (‘CocoDorm’), the South Beach foam parties, the financial backing by Paul Singer, the vulture hedge fund tycoon who champions gay rights and endorsements by key members of the gay Log Cabin Republicans.” “Rubio, who has four children and claims to be a devout Christian, alternately attending Catholic and Baptist churches in south Florida, appears to have a not-so-secret past… there is a Spanish word that aptly describes the presidential hopeful: Cristiano afeminado, or Christian homosexual.” Interestingly, while N.J. Gov. Chris Christie was still in the race, he called Rubio the “boy in the bubble” not long after Madsen initially broke the news: And Gov. Christie referred to Rubio as the “King of England” right after Madsen said the Florida senator visited London’s gay Soho district in 2013. Source |

Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump both scored major victories on Super Tuesday, taking giant steps toward securing the US presidential nominations of their parties.US voters casted their ballots across 11 states in a day-long contest known as Super Tuesday, when the greatest number of states hold primary elections to pick the Republican and Democratic White House nominees. Trump emerged as the winner of Republican contests in Arkansas, Virginia, Georgia, Alabama, Massachusetts, Vermont and Tennessee, while Clinton triumphed in Texas, Georgia, Arkansas, Alabama, Tennessee, Massachusetts and Virginia, according to US media projections. Speaking from Miami, former Secretary of State Clinton already appeared to be ready to take on New York billionaire Trump in the general election. “It’s clear tonight that the stakes in this election have never been higher and the rhetoric we are hearing on the other side has never been lower,” she said. “Trying to divide America between us and them is wrong and we are not going to let it work,” Clinton added. In his comments from Florida, Trump described himself as a “unifier” and called on Republicans to rally behind his candidacy. “Once we get all of this finished, I am going to go after one person: Hillary Clinton.” “Our party is expanding and all you have to do is take a look at the primary states where I’ve won,” Trump said. “We’ve gone from one number to a much larger number. That hasn’t happened to the Republican Party in many, many decades. So I think we’re going to be more inclusive, more unified and a much bigger party and I think we’re going to win in November,” he added. Trump’s closest rival, Senator Ted Cruz, has been projected to win in three states, on a Super Tuesday that has showed the real estate mogul’s dominance over a crowded Republican field. Meanwhile, Clinton’s primary opponent, Bernie Sanders, won in Vermont, and is also projected to prevail in Oklahoma, Minnesota, and Colorado. “By the end of tonight we are going to win many hundreds of delegates,” Sanders told supporters in Essex Junction, Vermont. “You know why we are going to win? Because our message is resonating,” he said. “The people will be victorious.” Source |

A mysterious fireball made a dramatic entrance into the Scottish sky, lighting up the night and making a loud rumbling noise, which left residents somewhat confused. The object is believed to have been a meteor, though that has yet to be confirmed. Police in Scotland said they received a flood of calls at around 6:55pm on Monday, after a bright flash was seen dancing across the sky, Mail Online reported. Residents said they spotted blue, white, and green lights, with many saying they heard a rumbling sound. The fireball was filmed by several dashcams, with drivers posting the footage online. Police and astronomers said the fireball was likely to be a meteor, which burned up as it entered Earth’s upper atmosphere. However, that speculation has yet to be confirmed. The Met Office ruled out the possibility of a weather-related cause, stating that there were no thunder storms over Scotland on Monday night. The unexpected fireball shocked those who witnessed it. Resident Jenni Morrison summed it up with a shout of: “What the hell was that?” in dashcam footage as her car drove underneath the flashing light. Others took to Twitter to express their amazement. There were suggestions that the alleged meteor could have been a sonic boom from an aircraft or a flare from a satellite. However, there were no reports of an aircraft in distress and the British Ministry of Defence (MoD) said it was unaware of any events in the area, Mail Online reported. The mysterious fireball comes two years after a meteor exploded over Chelyabinsk, Russia, causing damage within an 80-kilometer (50-mile) radius. The meteor was found to be 30 times brighter than the sun, with a force of 40 Hiroshima atomic bombs. Scientists concluded the meteor was the biggest in a century. Source |

People voting for Donald Trump in today’s Super Tuesday Texas Primary are seeing their ballots changed to show a vote for Marco Rubio. Around a dozen callers flooded Austin-based radio station KLBJ this morning with reports of mistakes after they tried to vote for Trump. Watch an interview with host Todd Jeffries below. According to KLBJ, “computer freezeups” and other “glitches” are causing voting snafus at locations all around Travis County. Sources tell us that the Trump campaign is seriously concerned about reports of fraud coming in from Texas and that the March 15 primary in Ohio is also a worry. Trump supporters previously accused the Rubio campaign of stealing votes in Iowa after the Florida Senator achieved a surprise third place finish. If Rubio fails to secure a strong finish in today’s primaries he could be forced to drop out of the race altogether. Rubio’s Super Pac has poured $1.5 million of its budget into Texas in an effort to take delegates away from home state favorite Ted Cruz. Former Trump advisor Roger Stone appeared on the Alex Jones Show today and vowed to set up a network of volunteers to investigate any reports of fraud. Virginia Voter Receives Ballot Already Marked for Rubio A Virginia man attempting to vote in the presidential primary Tuesday says he received a ballot already marked for Republican candidate Marco Rubio. The voter, who photographed the ballot in question, noted to WTVR News that the issue was highly concerning. Another voter was concerned when he said he was handed a ballot that was already filled out. When questioned by reporters, General registrar for the City of Richmond Kirk Showalter argued that “there was no reason for voters to be alarmed.” Showalter instead blamed a female voter who allegedly filled out two ballots at once, handed one in, and returned the other without telling polling staff that it had been inadvertently marked. “Two ballots were stuck together when they were issued and the woman they were handed to voted on both of them,” Showalter said. Other issues in the area included ballots being placed inside of duffle bags instead of ballot counting machines. “There was a lady working the polls who asked me to put my ballot in a duffle bag. I could see the other completed ballots, so I was trying to conceal mine,” Richmond voter Danyale Little said. “I felt like my privacy was violated.” Poll workers said the duffle bag was being used for temporary storage after the ballot counting machine key was lost early Tuesday morning. While reported incidents in Virginia appear to be minor according to local officials, other voters across the country have experienced similar issues with ballots favoring Marco Rubio. More than a dozen Donald Trump supporters in Texas reported to Austin-based radio station KLBJ Tuesday that theirballots had been changed to show a vote for Marco Rubio. |
