As elite branches of the US military prepare to hold military training in seven southwest states, with some troops operating incognito among civilians, some Americans fear the training is actually preparation for imposing martial law.
Operation Jade Helm, which is scheduled to kick off in July and run for eight weeks, will involve the participation of 1,200 troops from the US military’s most elite fighting forces, including Green Berets, Navy SEALS and Special Operations from the Air Force and Marines.
The troops will be participating in what has been called Realistic Military Training in towns in Arizona, California, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, Texas and Utah.
In an effort to simulate the type of battlefield conditions soldiers may face in foreign countries, the US military has designated the remote training areas where they will operate as “hostile” territory, a description that has irked some residents.
Meanwhile, Texans living in close proximity to the operation will be asked to report any “suspicious activity” during the exercise, a request that seems to contradict the belief laid out in the US military training document, leaked by The Houston Chronicle, that Texans are “historically supportive” of military efforts to “fight the enemies of the United States.”
The training exercise, according to Shadow Spear, a publication of USASOC, “will be conducted on private and public land with the permission of the private landowners, and from state and local authorities.”
“The most noticeable effect the exercise may have on the local communities is an increase in vehicle and military air traffic and its associated noise,” Shadow Spear said.

Army Special Operation Command spokesman Mark Lastoria attempted to allay fears that the training is a actually an effort on the part of the military to practice “covert warfare tactics and martial law.” He said the domestic military operations are designed to develop “emerging concepts in special operations warfare,” and were not part of some kind of dark plans to take over the United States.
“That notion was proposed by a few individuals who are unfamiliar with how and why USASOC conducts training exercises,” he told Stripes, a US Army publication. “This exercise is routine training to maintain a high level of readiness for Army Special Operations Forces because they must be ready to support potential missions anywhere in the world on a moment’s notice.”
Paul Pape, a Bastrop County judge, also downplayed fears that the domestic military training was in reality rehearsal for full-blown martial law on the streets of America following some sort of major catastrophe.
“What I see here is an opportunity for a portion of our military to be better prepared and better trained to do work that has to be done to secure America’s interests around the world and here at home,” Pape told KEYE television in Austin, Texas.
The explanations given for the training, however, has not stopped fierce speculation among a number of citizen groups and alternative media sites as to why the entire states of Texas and Utah, as well as a section of southern California, have been declared “hostile,” while portions of the military detachment will be operating in the shadows of communities.
“They’re having Delta Force, Navy SEALS with the Army trained to basically take over,” Info Wars’ Alex Jones railed Sunday. “Texas is listed as a hostile sector, and of course, we are… here defending the republic.”
This is not the first time that American urban areas have served as the training areas for US forces.
In December 2014, Americans were unsettled by the spectacle of US Special Forces black helicopters buzzing the skylines of major US cities, including Dallas and Los Angeles, part of what it described as training in “realistic urban sites.”
Now, the Special Forces boots will be on the ground in cities and towns across the country, and that has some people asking a lot of questions.

Demonstrators march in the Czech capital of Prague in protest against a US military convoy passing through the country on March 28, 2015.
Hundreds of demonstrators have staged an anti-NATO rally in the Czech capital of Prague to protest a planned parade by a US military convoy through the East European republic.
The protesters held the rally on Saturday on the eve of a parade by roughly 120 US military vehicles that are to enter the country as part of the Western military alliance’s “Operation Dragon Ride” parading through six NATO member states in Europe.
“This definitely won’t contribute to peace in Europe because the situation is very, very dangerous and very tense. We’re of the opinion that steps like this definitely don’t help,” said Lubomir Ledl, a protest organizer and lawyer from Prague.
Demonstrators waved the Czech national flag and carried placards reading “Tanks? No Thanks!” and “Stop US Army.”
The anti-war protesters were met by a group of pro-NATO demonstrators. Minor clashes broke out between the two groups.
The convoy, consisting mostly of armored personnel carriers, began the parade on March 21 in Estonia and passed through Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, before entering the Czech Republic on Sunday.
The convoy will stay in the country until April 1 when the vehicles will cross into neighboring Germany to return to a military base in the city of Vilseck.
According to Lieutenant colonel Craig Childs, a spokesman for the US Army in Europe (USAREUR), the military march is aimed at testing “unit maintenance and leadership capabilities while simultaneously providing a highly visible demonstration of US commitment to its NATO allies and demonstrating NATO’s ability to move military forces freely across allied borders in close cooperation.”
Throughout the march, security forces from the six European governments have offered to escort the convoy to fend off opposition as the US military convoy crosses the countries filled with people protesting the move.
The convoy comes as NATO plans to expand its military presence in Eastern Europe amid deteriorating ties with Russia over the crisis in Ukraine.
In 2014, NATO forces held some 200 military exercises, with the alliance’s General Secretary Jens Stoltenberg having promised that such drills would continue.
In addition, the defense ministers of NATO’s 28 member states agreed on February 5 to establish six new command and control posts in the Eastern European nations of Bulgaria, Romania, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland.
Moscow has repeatedly condemned NATO’s exercises and military buildup toward its borders. Russia has also repeatedly accused the US of fueling unrest throughout the world by interfering in other countries and pursuing global hegemony and its expansionist policy.
Russia ended on March 21 nationwide military exercises in the Baltic Sea, Black Sea, the Arctic and the Far East.
More than 80,000 Russian troops with over 10,000 military vehicles, 65 warships, 16 support vessels, 15 submarines and 200 jet fighters and helicopter gunships took part in the maneuvers.

Police in Kansas are set to implement a bonkers policy of mandating that all drivers stopped for whatever reason will be expected to put their hands up in the air when approached by an officer.
“We all want to go home to our families, and this makes it safer for us to approach vehicles to gain that compliance. It gives us a chance to survive these encounters.” a police spokesman told reporters with KSNT News.
“As we all know, we’ve lost three officers in less than 2 years and as a result of that we’ve had to take a hard look at the way we’re conducting business, particularly as it relates to car stops.” said Officer Matt McClimans.
“It doesn’t matter what the infraction is, it doesn’t matter if it’s a soccer mom, it’s just gaining that hand compliance.” McClimans added, also noting “We have to treat every encounter as if it’s dangerous.”
Residents have responded to the plans with anger, with some noting that it is offensive to be treated as a criminal without any probable cause.
“To put my hands up, I mean, I just can’t see how people are not offended by that,” said one man.
“I think that is too aggressive, and unnecessary, and I don’t agree with it,” said another resident.
“Make us feel safe, not automatically make us feel like criminals.” another woman pleaded.
Locals were never asked their opinion on the policy proposal by law enforcement or local authorities, and some are worried that the new policy will lead to more violent escalations involving police.
“Police and community interactions are tough enough as it is and the more demands, the tougher it’s going to be, and the more problems you’re going to have,” one local told reporters.
“Every day somebody’s getting shot by a police officer, and it’s like ‘oh my goodness, will I be next?’, or will I be okay?” said the resident.
Police have not stated what will happen to those who do not or cannot comply with the hands up policy.
Critics have also suggested that the policy is a stealthy way of ensuring that residents are no longer able to film police encounters with cell phones.

A new Ministry of Defense (MoD) report circulating in the Kremlin today claims that the failed 24 March US Air Force test of its High Energy Liquid Laser Area Defense System (HELLADS) that was attempting to shoot down a simulated Federation nuclear warhead, which resulted in the downing of Germanwings Flight 9525 killing all 150 aboard, was attempted again on Friday, 27 March, but this time resulted in the catastrophic shutdown of the electrical grid in Northern Holland, including Amsterdam.
According to this report, Friday’s HELLADS test that blacked out Northern Holland was the third of its kind performed by NATO over the past nearly 24 months, the other two having the consequence of (1.) the near catastrophic crash of Lufthansa Flight LH1172 over France in May, 2013, and (2.) the obliteration of Germanwings Flight 9525 on 24 March, again over France.
In the May, 2013, near disaster of Lufthansa Flight LH1172, this report continues, pre-HELLADS testing by NATO in preparation for the 22 May 2013 launching of an ICBM from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California was determined by the MoD to be the cause of this near catastrophic incident where this airliner suddenly plunged towards the ground.
Likewise, this report says, the 23 March ICBM launching for the following days HELLADS test that destroyed Germanwings Flight 9525 was then followed by Friday’s (27 March) ICBM launching that crippled Northern Holland.
To exactly how these ICBM-HELLADS tests are conducted, this report explains, a LGM-30G Minuteman-III ICBM is fired to an altitude of 1,120 kilometers (700 miles) at a speed of nearly Mach 24 (approximately 15,000 mph) after which it deploys an Advanced Maneuverable Reentry Vehicle (AMaRV) into Polar orbit and the body of the craft falls into the Pacific Ocean.
The AMaRV, which simulates multiple nuclear warheads, MoD experts in this report say, is then fired upon by the high-energy lasers of the HELLADS in an effort to destroy them as they attempt reentry towards their target(s).
The “critical failure” of the HELLADS, however, this report says, has been their use upon the B-1 bomber platform, as was done in all of these tests, which aside from having to be continually tested in the days/weeks leading up to these tests, is notorious for its continued aiming failures.
To why NATO conducted their Friday HELLADS test just 3 days after they downed Germanwings Flight 9525, this report says, was in retaliation for the Federationssuccessful test-firing of an RS-26 Rubezh ballistic missile on Thursday.
And as to why the Western people aren’t being told the truth about NATO’s HELLADS being the cause of the Germanwings Flight 9525 shootdown, the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) had previously reported on detailing the massive cover-up operation now being implemented by Western intelligence agencies accusing this airliners co-pilot as being responsible for this disaster.
However, this MoD report points out, the recovered audio from Germanwings Flight 9525 clearly shows the opposite of what the Western propaganda media have been reporting in that the “screams of passengers” are heard first, then they go silent and the noise that follows is of “crunching metal”, cockpit alarms, and indecipherable radio chatter before all goes silent…all indications, experts in this report point out, that this airliner suffered a catastrophic failure killing all passengers and crews first, after which the airliner exploding in air…and as the debris field proves it did.

As has been proven in other such disasters as Germanwings Flight 9525, this report concludes, there is no likelihood of the Western governments ever telling their people the truth about what happened as evidenced by their continued cover-up of the Malaysia Airlines aircraft shot down by a Ukrainian fighter last year…and whichForeign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned again on 19 March that the Western media have ignored officially documented information from eyewitnesses, previously obtained by Russian media and investigators, including those indicating the presence of a Ukrainian military jet in the vicinity of the doomed flight, and still to this date the American CIA is still refusing to release their data proving this is true.

An Upper House lawmaker says very soon Russia will introduce a law banning draft dodgers from becoming government ministers, judges and prosecutors.
Senator Viktor Ozerov (Khabarovsk Region), who shared this forecast with reporters, currently chairs the Defense and Security Committee in the Federation Council.
“Very soon we will pass the law that would preclude draft dodgers from assuming high posts in the government in the future. These are posts of ministers and also judges and prosecutors. All candidates for such positions would be strictly required to have military service in their CVs,” Ozerov said.
In early 2014, Russia introduced amendments that forbid all state and municipal bodies from employing people convicted of illegally evading military service. However, the law was contested by lawmakers from the Chechen Republic and in October 2014 the Constitutional Court ruled to overturn it and ordered the Federal Parliament get rid of several legal contradictions.
Earlier this month the State Duma Committee for Defense approved the bill that, if passed, would ban persistent draft dodgers from any work in civil service for five years. The same bill bans such people from leaving Russia for the same period of time.
Within the framework of the ongoing military reform Russia has moved from two years to one year of compulsory conscription and took other steps to make military service more attractive to young people, such as setting up special “science companies” that allowed gifted soldiers to perform scientific work for the defense sector.
However, the problem of draft dodging remains and the military are still in great need of new conscripts. In late 2012 Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said that the under-manning in some units had reached from 40 to 60 percent. And in December 2014, Chief of General Staff General Valery Gerasimov told reporters that the average under-manning in the forces was about 10 percent.
This week President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on new military draft according to which conscription offices throughout the country must summon about 150,000 people to military service.
All male citizens aged 18-27 are subject to military service, but exemptions are provided for health and family reasons. Members of federal and regional legislatures receive official deferment from the draft. Ideological or religious pacifists can take alternative civilian service, but that term is twice as long as regular military service. Deliberate evading of the draft is a criminal offence punishable by up to two years in prison.
