Russia has proposed to Iran to join the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
Russia has proposed to Iran to join the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) a regional trading bloc comprised of states located primarily in northern Eurasia.
Mehdi Sana’ei, Iran’s ambassador to Russia, has been quoted by the media as saying that the proposal was raised during a meeting in Moscow with Viktor Khristenko, the chairman of the Eurasian Commission.
Iran’s Embassy in Moscow has announced in a statement that the meeting was held on this past Thursday. The Embassy said Khristenko has called on Iran to have an active and efficient cooperation EAEU.
Accordingly, it has been agreed for Iran and EAEU to start expert talks for Iran’s membership to the Union that already comprises Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Armenia, Iran’s Fararu news website has reported.
The EAEU, which has is based in Moscow, was officially established in January 2015. It introduces the free movement of goods, capital, services and people and provides for common transport, agriculture and energy policies, with provisions for a single currency and greater integration in the future.
The Union, that has a GDP of $2.4 trillion and a foreign trade turnover of above $900 billion, says on its website that it is being created to comprehensively upgrade, raise the competitiveness of and cooperation between the national economies, and to promote stable development in order to raise the living standards of the nations of the member-states.

Doctors seem to be a step closer to performing a breakthrough surgery: transplanting a human head onto another body. A Russian man with a rare genetic muscle-wasting disorder has volunteered to be the first to try the procedure.
“I’m very interested in technology, and anything progressive that might change people’s lives for the better,” Valery Spiridonov from the Russian city of Vladimir, told RT.
Spiridonov, a 30-year-old qualified computer scientist, works for an IT firm.
He said that his disease is getting worse every year, and usually people with Werdnig-Hoffman disorder, a disease that wastes muscles, don’t live longer than 20 years, so it would be a chance to prolong his life and help scientific research in the process.
“Doing this isn’t only an excellent opportunity for me, but will also create a scientific basis for future generations, no matter what the actual outcome of the surgery is,” he said.
The operation is set to be conducted by renowned Italian surgeon Sergio Canavero, who sees the procedure as comparable to space exploration.
“Russia sent Yury Gagarin into space with fair chances of dying. America sent Neil Armstrong to the moon with fair chances of dying. And the chances here are much, much better,” Canavero told RT.
According to Canavero, the operation is set to last up to 36 hours, and will cost over $11 million.
During the procedure, the patient’s brain will be cooled down to 10-15 degrees Celsius (50-60 Fahrenheit) to prolong the time the cells are able to survive without oxygen.
The body will be taken from a brain-dead but otherwise healthy donor.
An ultra-sharp scalpel will be used to cut through the spinal cord, and a special biological glue will be used to connect the head to the new body.
After the operation, Valery will be put into a coma for three to four weeks to prevent any movement. He will also be given immunosuppressants with the aim of preventing the body rejecting its new head.
Many medics are against carrying out the procedure, with a Californian doctor saying it is “too overwhelming a project to succeed,” while others branded it “too outlandish to consider” and simply “crazy.”
Canavero has called the procedure “HEAVEN,” which is an acronym for head anastomosis venture. Anastomosis involves the surgical connecting of two parts.
Medical science has come a long way to even consider this operation: the first successful transplant on a person happened back in 1905, with a cornea replaced by an Austrian surgeon.
In 1967, a patient in South Africa received a new heart.
Entire limbs are being replaced, too: for instance, surgeons gave a man in France a new right hand in 1998.
Five years ago, another groundbreaking procedure took place, when a Spanish man underwent a full face transplant.

A new Ministry of Defense (MoD) report circulating in the Kremlin today states that President Putin has authorized the Black Sea Fleet CCB-201 Vishnya-class intelligence ship Priazovye to use all offensive/defensive measures needed to protect itself, and civilian lives, against any and all “detected” aggressive combat aircraft, including those operated by the US Air Force, in the current Yemeni combat zone.
According to this report, this extraordinary order by President Putin authorizing the potential shoot down of US military aircraft was necessitated by the refusal of Saudi Arabia to allow the evacuation of Russian citizens trapped in the Yemeni combat zone after the deliberate 1 April destruction of the Russian consulate in that nations largest city Aden by US-directed Saudi warplanes.

To the specific American warplanes placed in danger by this shootdown order, this report continues, are the US Air Force KC-135 Stratotankers that have begun daily aerial refueling of Saudi warplanes to allow continuous airstrikes upon the Yemeni people in this latest example of the Obama regimes continued unauthorized and criminal wars against nearly every nation on Earth who disagrees with them.
Upon their receiving permission to target any warplane, including those of the US Air Force, attempting to interfere with their humanitarian mission to evacuate refugees, MoD experts in this report say, the Priazovye arrived a few hours ago in southern Yemeni port of Aden where it successfully boarded over 300 foreign nationals, including Americans, seeking to leave this combat zone.
Most astoundingly of these evacuated foreign nationals, however, this report states, are the large number of US citizens seeking Russian protection to save their families lives as the Obama regime has ignored the pleas of up to 4,000 American nationals who are believed to still be stranded in this war torn nation.
According to one of these US citizens trapped in Yemen, Arwa Al-Iraine, who spoke to Russian media sources about their plight, “Nobody will help us evacuate. The reply [of the US government] was an automated message that they do not have any evacuation plans. Basically we are left on our own.

Not lost to the MoD in their report is the irony that Federation military/naval forces may have to shootdown a US Air Force warplane in order to protect the lives of these thousands of American citizens abandoned in Yemen by the Obama regime.
More seriously though, this report notes, are that The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC), the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and Asian Americans Advancing Justice-Asian Law Caucus (ALC) on Thursday announced the filing of a lawsuit against Secretary of State John Kerry and Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter seeking US government action to evacuate these thousands of American citizens trapped in Yemen.
This lawsuit personally targets US Secretary of State John Kerry and Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter for failing to protect US citizens in Yemen and names 41 plaintiffs in the case, and estimates the total number of US citizens currently trapped in Yemen at between 3,000 and 4,000.
As to why the American people aren’t in revolt over this monstrous abandonment of thousands of their fellow citizens by the Obama regime in this most dangerous of war zones, this report concludes, is simply because their propaganda media has still failed to inform them of it.
