Rebels fight for control of Tripoli; Death toll mounts in Gaza despite truce; Hazare continues hunger strike

Libyan rebels captured much of the country's capital, although Muammar Gaddafi remains at large; meanwhile, rebel commanders say they plan to launch attacks on Gaddafi's hometown, Sirte.
Violence in Gaza continued as Israeli airstrikes killed six Palestinians and wounded at least 35 others, continuing a series of attacks that began when gunmen killed eight Israelis near Eilat.

Indian anti-graft activist Anna Hazare continued his hunger strike, which has now lasted nine days, as Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh sought to end the public stand-off with Hazare.
