Literally anyone can use it. It's a small caliber rifle using a medium power round, so it has pretty light recoil.

It's pretty accurate out of the box.

7.62mm ammunition is abundantly available everywhere in the world, and it's cheap.

It doesn't care how badly you mistreat it. Get it dirty, get it wet, never clean it, use it as a sledgehammer, doesn't matter.
