Soros: Obama's Puppeteer (Part1)

The man behind the curtain.

On the surface, the founder and chairman of the Open Society Institute and chairman of the Soros Fund Management LLC seems just like another wealthy financier who gives back to society. To fight poverty in New York, George Soros announced a $35 million gift to support low-income families across the state purchasing supplies and clothing for the new school year.
Mr. Soros's $35 million gift follows a $50 million pledge in May to help people in New York City living in poverty. These gifts, totaling $85 million, are among the largest ever made to satisfy basic necessities. In June, Mr. Soros gave $100 million to help communities in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union, regions deeply affected by the global downturn. Over the past 25 years, his charitable foundations have given away some $7 billion to strengthen communities and justice around the world.

A brief history reveals that Soros was influenced by the philosophies of Sir Karl Popper, a former Marxist, and supporter of social liberalism. He was extremely influenced and continues to follow the teachings of John Maynard Keynes, who advocated interventionist government policy, by which governments would use fiscal and monetary measures to mitigate the adverse effects of business cycles, economic recessions and depressions.. His ideas are the basis for the school of thought known as Keynesian economics.
Why should this matter?
It is an embedded philosophy which steers him ideas, some of which are: l)promoting the election of leftist political candidates throughout the United States. 2) depicting American military actions as unjust, unwarranted, and immoral
defending the civil rights and liberties of suspected anti-American terrorists. 3)Advocating America's unilateral disarmament and/or a steep reduction in its military spending. 4) Promoting socialized medicine in the United States 5)promoting radical environmentalism, whose ultimate goal, as writer Michael Berliner has explained is "not clean air and clean water, [but] rather ... the demolition of technological/industrial civilization". 6) Promoting taxpayer-funded abortion-on-demand. 7) Advocating stricter gun-control measures. 8)Advocating the legalization of marijuana. 9) Promoting open borders, mass immigration, and a watering down of current immigration laws. 10) Promoting a dramatic expansion of social welfare programs funded by ever-escalating taxes. 11) Promoting social welfare benefits and amnesty for illegal aliens
Soros' ties to Obama date back to 2004, when the multi-billionaire hosted a fundraiser for Obama during the latter's 2004 campaign for the U.S. Senate. In December of 2006, as Obama contemplated making a run for the presidency in 2008, Soros met in his New York office with the Illinois senator. Then, on January 16, 2007, Obama announced the creation of a presidential exploratory committee. Within hours, Soros sent the senator a contribution of $2,100, the maximum amount allowable under campaign finance laws. Later that week, the New York Daily News reported that Soros would back Obama over the Democrat he had previously favored for the presidency, Hillary Clinton. Soros said, however, that he would support Mrs. Clinton if she (rather than Obama) were ultimately to win the Democratic Party's nomination.
In a November 2008 in and interview with Spiegel, Soros made some comments that accurately outlined precisely the course that President Obama's administration would eventually pursue in 2009:
"I think we need a large stimulus package which will provide funds for state and local government to maintain their budgets -- because they are not allowed by the constitution to run a deficit. For such a program to be successful, the federal government would need to provide hundreds of billions of dollars. In addition, another infrastructure program is necessary. In total, the cost would be in the 300 to 600 billion dollar range [in addition to the $700 billion bailout which the government already had given to the financial industry]…. I think this is a great opportunity to finally deal with global warming and energy dependence. The U.S. needs a cap and trade system with auctioning of licenses for emissions rights. I would use the revenues from these auctions to launch a new, environmentally friendly energy policy. That would be yet another federal program that could help us to overcome the current stagnation.”
So it began! Does this sound vaguely familiar to what has transpired so far this year?
A little further investigation reveals some interesting facts.
The Canada Free Press wrote: What we have in Soros, is a multi-billionaire atheist, with skewed moral values, and a sociopaths lack of conscience. He considers himself to be a world class philosopher, despises capitalism, and just loves social engineering.
From an article by Cliff Kincaid, we find that Soros engaged in a complex financial transaction that resulted in the Bank of England losing billions of dollars defending the British pound before having to devalue it. He has controversial investments in places like Colombia, where the banks have been penetrated by drug cartels eager to launder their drug money. In a major court case filed by the law offices of David H. Relkin, Soros has recently been charged with “money laundering, bankruptcy fraud, and bid rigging” and of having a “pattern of money laundering activities” that includes the investment in the Colombian bank and using an off-shore tax haven that protects the identity of investors from disclosure. A Soros representative was quoted by the Reuters news agency as saying that the lawsuit was completely without merit.
Claude Cartaginese wrote: Obama’s recent loan to Brazil’s quasi-public national oil company, Petrobras, which will use the money for the exploration and drilling of 270 sites in the Gulf of Mexico and over 200 more off the coast of Brazil itself has been run since 2005 by José Sergio Gabrielli, a firebrand socialist member of Brazil’s leftist Workers’ Party. Brazil’s socialist government holds 40% of Petrobras’ shares. The Communist Chinese–who have been guaranteed a supply of 200,000 barrels of oil a day for ten years by the Brazilians in exchange for a $10 billion loan from China’s government earlier this year–also own a significant stake in Petrobras. Petrobras’ largest individual shareholder, by far, is none other than leftist billionaire Goerge Soros, whose hedge fund, by some remarkable coincidence, increased its holdings in Petrobras just prior to Obama’s loan announcement.
The Huffington Post: In another sign of the urgency gripping the pro-health care reform camp, billionaire George Soros has pledged to sink $5 million into the fight, the group getting the money confirmed. Soros — whose operation carefully guards the privacy of such donations — made the pledge to Health Care For America Now, the leading coalition of pro-reform groups, unions and providers, HCAN Chief Richard Kirsch confirmed in an email that was forwarded to me.
Catholic Exchange: One of the facts I learned from LifeTree experts is that Soros is fundamentally necessary to this entire brainwashing cabal who want us to believe that pain relief can mean whatever they want it to mean, as long as the patient is “comfortable” and perhaps even comatose due to overdosing.Soros-funded doctors have spent the past decade establishing "palliative care" as a new medical sub-specialty. "Palliative care" is a cost-savings device.
