Agriculture Minister Miroslav Naydenov and representatives of the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria (CEIBG) discussed Thursday the creation of a national export strategy.

Bulgarian beekeepers make between BGN 60 M and BGN 65 M per year, according to data of the Bulgarian Beekeepers' Union.

BULGARIA GOES FOR EURO BOND SALE TO REPAY DEBT
Bulgaria is already preparing the sale of bonds on international markets to finance BGN 1.8 B of global bonds that mature in early 2013, the finance minister announced.
"The best way to repay the debt is a mix of the privatization of state-owned assets, issuing short-term state securities and mid-term euro bonds," Minister Simeon Djankov told the morning broadcast of the state BNT TV channel. read more

BULGARIA REFUSES TO PAY RUSSIA DAMAGES OVER BELENE N-PLANT
Bulgaria's government has made it clear it is not daunted by the risk of being taken to arbitration by the Russian contractor in Belene nuclear project, should it decide to abandon it.
"Bulgaria will not have to pay damages if it withdraws from Belene project. Formally the project is based on an intergovernmental agreement between Bulgaria and Russia, not on a contract," Finance Minister Simeon Djankov told the morning broadcast of state TV BNT on Thursday. read more

LIVE FISH GUSHES FROM BULGARIAN CITY FOUNTAIN
A large number of live fish came out of the pipe of the fountain on the central "Zheravitsa" square in Bulgaria's northwestern city of Montana Thursday.
The fish started gushing from the pipe when the fountain was turned on with the arrival of the warmer weather and the sight brought many curious passers-by. Municipal employees are quoted saying that this is a first such occurrence in decades. read more

BULGARIA TO SWITCH TO DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME ON SUNDAY
The summer daylight saving time will be introduced in Bulgaria on March 25, the National Metrology Center announced.

The campaign "The Miracles of Bulgaria 2" was officially launched Thursday by the Bulgarian "Standard" daily.
The event was held at the National Palace of Culture in downtown Sofia and gathered ministers, archeologists, businessmen, historians, and representatives of the media to form a Public Council. SEEMO ALARMED BY HATE SPEECH OVER MACEDONIAN-ALBANIAN ETHNIC CLASHES
The Vienna-based South and East Europe Media Organization (SEEMO) has condemned all forms of hate speech, and has expressed concerns over the recent reappearance of ethnic labeling in the Republic of Macedonia.
In a special statement to the media, SEEMO pointed out Thursday that following a series of incidents at the beginning of March 2102, involving the local Macedonian and Albanian populations, media in FYROM in both languages insisted on pointing out the ethnic background of the aggressors when describing the incidents. read more
