World Press freedom day 2014 is themed on the Post-2015 Sustainable Development Goals. ARTICLE 19 is doing substantial work on the Post-2015 goals at the United Nations in New York, and globally with different governments via our regional and national offices.

Media Freedom for a Better Future: World Press Freedom Day focuses on SDGs
UNESCO Celebrates the World Press Freedom Day (WPFD) with an international conference at its Headquarters in Paris from 5 to 6 May 2014. WPFD, which is celebrated in about 100 countries globally, will highlight the need to include freedom of speech and access to independent media and information in post-2015 Sustainable Development Goals.
