On Wednesday the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces presented evidence demonstrating Turkish involvement in funding the Islamic State.

The Russians claim Islamic groups “continue to receive significant funding, as well as weapons, ammunition and other material nourishment for their activities” and a large “number of states and especially Turkey” are involved in funding terrorist activities.

The Russian Federation’s Deputy Minister of Defense, Anatoly Ivanovich Antonov, said illegal oil revenue is the primary source of the funding.

Within 20 years, according to top Artificial Intelligence (AI) researchers, nearly half of all jobs currently occupied by humans will be automated by computers or robots. What purpose will these formerly employed individuals fulfill?

The elite of society have been discussing this epic moment for decades.

In April of 2000, Bill Joy, co-founder of Sun Microsystems, wrote an article for Wired magazine called “Why the future doesn’t need us.”

The premise of the article revolves around the potential for humans to become obsolete. Joy’s work begins by describing his experience of reading a portion of Unabomber Theodore Kaczynski’s manifesto.

There is no single known cause for autism spectrum disorder (ASD), but it is widely accepted by the scientific community that it is triggered by abnormalities in brain structure and function.

This has been established in studies which illustrate the differences in the shape and structure of the autistic brain compared to those seen in the brains of neurotypical children.

There is also a decent amount of evidence to support the theory that some children are born with a susceptibility to autism, but scientists have yet to identify this “trigger.” This is why researches have theorized that irregular segments of genetic code may be the root cause of autism.

In recent years, however, a wealth of information has emerged that was once never even considered. Despite the fact that the cause for autism isn’t certain, and that it’s highly unlikely researchers will ever find that ‘one’ cause of autism, scientists are now realizing that autism could be the result of the modern day human lifestyle.

On the floors of many cathedrals, temples and Masonic lodges, can be seen a chequer-work of black and white squares known as a ‘mosaic pavement’ or ‘tessellated pavement’.

It denotes the dual quality of everything connected with terrestrial life and the physical groundwork of human nature  the mortal body and its appetites and affections.

‘The web of our life is a mingled yarn, good and ill together’, wrote Shakespeare. Everything material is characterized by inextricably interblended good and evil, light and shade, joy and sorrow, positive and negative.

What is good for me may be evil for you; pleasure is generated from pain and ultimately degenerates into pain again; what is right to do at one moment maybe wrong the next; I am intellectually exalted today and tomorrow correspondingly depressed and benighted.

As the Christmas season rapidly encroaches again this year, I decided to wonder if the annual Christianity festival rejoicing the birth of Jesus Christ has much relevance today, or whether it has now been completely hijacked by corporate elites to peddle their useless tat to the masses.

Christmas has now become synonymous with giant inflatable illuminated Santas and their whole entourage of prancing reindeer adorning people’s houses, sucking the national grid dry for an entire month, and the irritating warbling from Noddy Holder blasting from every public place, unrelenting, every year, forever.

It’s a perverted version of the sirens myth, but instead the prize is half-price toasters and glow-in-the-dark golf clubs.

What would Jesus make of today’s consumer-driven society, where the acquisition and consumption of material goods is celebrated more so than the ideologies that Christmas was founded upon?
