Afghans Plan To Bring Back Refugees
Afghan officials say an ambitious program is being planned to try and bring back millions of Afghan refugees living in Iran and Pakistan. More Officials from Afghanistan and Kazakhstan have met in Kabul to discuss expanding economic and political ties, RFE/RL's Radio Free Afghanistan reports. More Hundreds of protesters rallied in Afghanistan's capital today to denounce the assassination of former President Burhanuddin Rabbani. More Afghan media officials say an unhealthy competition currently exists among many of the country's media organizations. More A former Afghan official says pressure is mounting on Pakistan to end its support for extremist groups who were reportedly involved in last week's assassination of former Afghan President Burhanuddin Rabbani. More I suspect Burhanuddin Rabbani will be remembered by most as the ideologue-turned-freedom fighter who went on to assume the role of a peacemaker. It is not a simple story.
