US Army to receive additional Recon Scout XT Robots
ReconRobotics has been awarded a $13.9m contract for the supply of 1,100 Recon Scout XT throwable micro-robot kits to assist the US Army's dismounted troops in conducting reconnaissance during high-risk tactical missions. First MUOS-based communications demonstrated on AN/PRC-155 radio General Dynamics C4 Systems (GDC4S) has conducted the first demonstration of secure voice and data communications through the Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) satellite-communications waveform using the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) Handheld, Manpack, Small Form Fit (HMS) two-channel networking radio (AN/PRC-155). Brazilian Army receives vehicle intercom systems from Thales Thales' Brazilian subsidiary Omnisys has completed delivery of the first batch of SOTAS digital intercom systems for integration into the Brazilian Army's Urutu family of vehicles, VBTP-MR Guarani and M113 armoured personnel carriers.
