ATK to develop alternative warhead for US Army GMLRS
The US Army has selected Alliant Tech Systems (ATK) to develop an alternative warhead for its Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS), an all-weather, precision-strike artillery rocket system. First MUOS-based communications demonstrated on AN/PRC-155 radio General Dynamics C4 Systems (GDC4S) has conducted the first demonstration of secure voice and data communications through the Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) satellite-communications waveform using the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) Handheld, Manpack, Small Form Fit (HMS) two-channel networking radio (AN/PRC-155). US Army to receive additional Recon Scout XT Robots ReconRobotics has been awarded a $13.9m contract for the supply of 1,100 Recon Scout XT throwable micro-robot kits to assist the US Army's dismounted troops in conducting reconnaissance during high-risk tactical missions. |
