Kosovar Parliament Ratifies Serbia Deal
Kosovo's parliament has overwhelmingly ratified an EU-brokered agreement aimed at normalizing ties with Serbia. More A Macedonian commercial called "Ten Meters Apart," showing the first-ever joint prayer by members of the country's Christian and Muslim communities, becomes the first spot from the Balkans to win the Titanium Lion at the Cannes Lions, the largest advertising festival in the world. More European Union governments have reached a preliminary agreement to open membership talks with Serbia. More UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay has welcomed Serbia's progress on human rights issues but also outlined areas where more needed to be done. More Thousands of Bosnians are gathering in Sarajevo for another day of protests against the government's failure to set aside ethnic divisions and pass a law providing basic identification documents for infants. The so-called "baby-lution" has seen a rare show of ethnic unity among Bosnian Serbs, Croats, and Bosniaks, and has won support throughout Bosnia-Herzegovina and even Serbia.
