 A Win-Win for America 
 America's current minimum wage is a poverty wage. This means that many must turn to public assistance such as food assistance and Medicaid in order to make ends meet. Yesterday, Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA) and Rep. Bobby Scott (D-VA) announced a new proposal to raise the federal minimum wage to $12 per hour by 2020, which would mean a long-overdue raise for struggling workers and significant savings for all American taxpayers—a true win-win. Read more »
