Conspiracy Theory: It’s a term used by many to brush off something that clashes with what they believe in, or have believed in for a long period of time.

Taking in new information that runs counter to a current belief system is not easy and can cause the feeling of cognitive dissonance – a term used in modern psychology to describe the feeling of discomfort that arises from being confronted with two or more conflicting ideas, beliefs, or values.

It suggests that we have an inner drive to hold onto all of our beliefs and attitudes, avoiding the feelings of discomfort and instability that accompany new ideas, regardless of whether those ideas are backed by evidence and sound logic.

Why do we always believe, without consideration, what is presented to us through mainstream sources? Why do we hold it to be true, without question? Why is it so common for many of us to not even acknowledge, listen, or look at evidence which runs counter to the accepted ideology?

“There seems to be a kind of order in the universe, in the movement of the stars and the turning of the earth and the changing of the seasons, and even in the cycle of human life”. ― Katherine Anne Porter

Nature has taught us everything we know. To reach harmony in life, we all need to learn how to observe Nature and learn the laws that govern our Universe. We as humans are a part of Nature and we also have cycles of our own.

In order to move forward in the spiral of our evolution, we all have to go through the crisis years which happen when we change from one cycle to the next. Some people get stuck in the loop of problems during their crisis years while others are able to overcome the challenges and move to the next level.

If you are following the mission of your higher self, there is no need to be afraid of the crisis years. However, if you keep violating the laws of Nature and keep failing to listen to your own intuition, you might experience certain turbulence with your state of health, personal or professional life during the crisis years.

The theory that heart attacks begin in the heart itself — the Myogenic Theory — and not in the arteries, was developed by my father-in-law, the Brazilian cardiologist, Quintiliano H de Mesquita, who died in 2000.

In this article, I propose to describe the history of the myogenic theory for a public that is largely unaware of this alternative theory since its introduction in 1972.

In addition to the myogenic theory, Dr Mesquita developed the concept of ventricular aneurysm surgery.

Ventricular aneurysm is a complication that can occur after a heart attack, arising from a patch of weakened tissue in a ventricular wall. The surgery was first performed by Dr Charles Bailey in 1954, and is still often performed on patients after a heart attack.

Some philosophical work is so profound as to be influential for thousands of years. Plato’s ‘The Republic‘ is one such series of dialogues.

It explains and explores the relationship between state institutions and individuals, and has provided humanity with lessons in politics, philosophy and individual enlightenment since it was penned some two thousand years ago.

One of the central dialogues in The Republic is called the Allegory of the Cave. The lessons the Allegory of the Cave provides to today’s world are numerous, and its depiction of our insidious societal structure is extremely accurate and insightful — despite often going unacknowledged as such.

Through its exploration of our political outer states, it also explores our psychological inner state as well.
