NEWS Islamists Fare Well In Egypt Election Islamist candidates from the Muslim Brotherhood are predicting they will emerge as big winners in this week's first stage of parliamentary elections in Egypt. More Corruption in politics and the public sector has become increasingly entrenched in the world, helping to fuel a year of unprecedented protest. That's according to the latest report from the watchdog group Transparency International, which tracks perceived levels of corruption in 182 nations. More Family Of Naxcivan Man Found Dead In Azerbaijani Exclave Claim Torture The family of an alleged spy in Naxcivan who was found dead earlier this year has presented RFE/RL's Azerbaijani Service with a video that relatives say shows signs of torture on his body. More Minsk Mother Appeals For Son's Life The mother of one of the two men condemned to death in Belarus over a deadly subway bombing has formally appealed to President Alyaksandr Lukashenka to spare her son's life. More Russia Patriarch Kyrgyz Visit Delayed A planned visit to Kyrgyzstan by the leader of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill I, has been postponed again.
