Malaysia: PM Najib Razak must fulfill promise to repeal Sedition Act without delay
ARTICLE 19 is deeply concerned by the recent crackdown on critical voices in Malaysia under the Sedition Act of 1948. Since August 2014, at least six people, including opposition politicians, academics and human rights lawyers, have been charged under the colonial-era law. ARTICLE 19 comment on the death of Alexei Devotchenko
ARTICLE 19 is sad to hear of the death of Russian activist and actor Alexei Devotchenko. His death is a huge loss for the artistic community as well as civil society. According to news reports he was found dead in his Moscow apartment on Wednesday evening, and the circumstances of his death were not immediately clear.

The website contains a map with the locations and details of all cases of violations recorded by the ARTICLE 19 Brazil team. Website visitors can produce a graphic based on the data provided - profile of the victim and the perpetrator of the crime, the state where the crime was committed, gender, type of violation, and motivation, among others.
